Lucas for Sponsorship of Multiple Lucas Oil Racing Properties

CORONA, CA- GEICO, a leading vehicle insurer in the U.S.A., has agreed to a two-year partnership extension with GEICOTeam Lucas for the support of multiple Lucas Oil racing properties. Of note is GEICO’s 2015 “Presenting Sponsorship” of 16 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series events, and naming rights of the “GEICO Off Road Nationals” to be held April 23-24 at Wild Horse Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ.

Beyond off-road racing, GEICO’s commitment to motorsports will be felt at Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt, Sprint Car, Modified and Drag Boat Series events; and the company’s support will be visible at Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League dates, the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. In whole, GEICO’s relationship with Team Lucas will result in exposure at several hundred racing events across the United States.

Team Lucas’ one-of-a-kind, dynamic marketing and advertising platform developed by Lucas Oil reaches millions of consumers each year. Many Lucas Oil events are nationally televised, resulting in hundreds of hours of additional network exposure for partners.

Vince Giampietro, GEICO’s Senior Manager of Experiential Marketing and Brand Management, said: “Our Presenting Sponsorship agreement with Team Lucas is mutually beneficial and allows GEICO in-depth interaction with consumers in America’s Heartland. Lucas Oil’s racing events allow GEICO to connect with an important target market, and the relationship with Team Lucas continually produces tangible, solid results supported by extensively-researched data.”

Bob Patison, Executive Vice President of Lucas Oil, said: “We are very pleased that GEICO has played such a key role in the expansion of Team Lucas for the past six years and are honored that they are continuing that association. Our research shows that Team Lucas enjoys very loyal race fans in this country so there is distinct correlation between the substantial branding success and raw sales growth Lucas Oil has seen over the past two decades because of involvement with partners such as GEICO.”
