Knowles Makes Most of Testing Prior to Chevrolet Performance U.S Nationals

Grand Junction, CO. – Pro Modified Racer, Mike Knowles took some time away from his office at Knowles Enterprises in Grand Mike KnowlesJunction, CO to put some hits on his Tim McAmis Race Cars prepared ride before the 59th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, IN.

“We’ve been away from the track for quite some time and needed to make sure we were ready for INDY,” said Car Chief, Bill Rice. “There’s just some things that you need to try and never have the luxury to do when you’re racing so, we’re fortunate to have the time before INDY to get those out of the way and go into the “Nationals” with a set game plan,” added Rice.

“Billy and Tim (McAmis) are really progressing with our combination. We have everything we need to run at the top, we just need to make it all work together. That’s what we were looking for last week. I think we made some very big progress on some very short runs,” said Team Owner /Driver, Mike Knowles.

Mike Knowles and the rest of the NHRA Pro Modified Series teams are scheduled for four qualifying sessions, Friday 5:30 PM and two on Saturday (2:00 PM and 5:30) and one final session Sunday at 2:00 PM before the first round of eliminations which begin at 5:00 PM. Eliminations continue with the second round on Sunday during Professional eliminations.
