KALITTA MOTORSPORTS TO HOST A KID AGAIN SPECIAL GUEST AT NGK NTK NHRA FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS

CHARLOTTE, NC – Earlier this season, Kalitta Motorsports announced their partnership with A Kid Again, a national nonprofit organization fostering hope, happiness and healing for children facing life-threatening conditions and their families.

As part of this partnership, during the NGK NTK NHRA Four-Wide Nationals this weekend the team will host a special guest and treating his family to an amazing Adventure at the race track.  Camden Nobles, a 12-year-old boy who enjoys animation, photography, short films, Godzilla and King Kong, along with his family will be spending Saturday at the races with Kalitta Motorsports drivers Doug Kalitta, J.R. Todd and Shawn Langdon. Camden’s complex medical condition does not allow him to participate in contact sports, but he enjoys the great outdoors or playing basketball solo.

“We are excited to host Camden and his family at the races this weekend in Charlotte,” said Chad Head, General Manager of Kalitta Motorsports. “We hosted a family at our shop in Michigan earlier this season and A Kid Again has experienced a ton of interest from families wanting to get involved. NHRA is a family sport and we are looking forward to having Camden and his family make some incredible memories at the race track.”

Kalitta’s support will help A Kid Again further their mission of giving families the opportunity to take a time out from illness by attending ongoing Adventures together at NHRA races while they work through significant medical situations. The multi-time world championship team will also be supporting A Kid Again through social media promotions and branding on all three race cars.

”This partnership with Kalitta Motorsports exemplifies what we’re all about at A Kid Again,” said Oyauma Garrison, President and CEO of A Kid Again. “I’m so excited for Camden and his family to enjoy a day at the races this weekend.”

With the goal of providing year-round fun-filled Adventures that allow children with life-threatening conditions and their families to feel like “a kid again,” the organization works to create a communal and interactive environment offering comprehensive resources to help families cope with the extended effects of living through difficult medical journeys.  As a growing national organization, A Kid Again recently launched its newest chapter in Central Carolinas. Camden was one of the first to enroll in the new A Kid Again – Central Carolinas chapter and the chapter continues to expand its impact across the Carolinas and throughout the country.

Qualifying for the NGK NTK NHRA Four-Wide Nationals begins on Friday, May 14 and concludes Saturday, May 15. Final eliminations will begin on Sunday, May 16 at noon ET. The race will be broadcast on FS1.
