K100 and Bauer Racing Head to Lebanon Valley for NHRA Northeast Divisional

Elma, NY – Bauer Racing will be taking their K100 Fuel Treatments backed Pontiac GTO to Lebanon Valley Dragway for this weekend’s NHRA/Lucas Oil Division One Event.

Team Owner/Driver, Bob Bauer was very pleased with the team’s last outing at the Norwalk Division Three event last month. “We went out in the second round pretty hard. I cut a .002 light but lost by less than five hundredths of a second when John Scali ran dead on his dial. Those ones are tough but, we were very happy with the car’s performance especially since it was the first time out since the crash last year. We still have some fine tuning to do but John at Torrelli Pro Cars did a fantastic job repairing the car and Mike Mitchell and my son Robert worked very hard to finish the final fabrication and assembly,” said Bauer.

With the teams renewed confidence in their chariot they are hoping to go more rounds in Lebanon Valley.

“We have a better idea of how she’s responding, said Crew Chief, Robert Bauer. We took it kind of easy last time out just to make sure everything was OK; now we can start getting after the consistency. Our Data Clutch data logger is a great help in that department. It’s one of the easiest units to learn and the sample rate is very large and quick compared to other more expensive units. It really gives us what we need to make the car perform to its peak,” said Robert Bauer.

The Division One MXI/Magnaflux/Select Performance Top Sportsman class has qualifying scheduled for Friday the 14th at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM with the final qualifying shot Saturday at 2. Eliminations will be run Sunday beginning at 10:30 AM.
