Ida Zetterström Headed to Sonoma with the Maynard Family Top Fuel Dragster

Sonoma, CA – Zetterström makes her Sonoma Raceway debut this weekend.  The Sonoma Nationals marks the second of four consecutive events where Zetterström will be at the controls of the JCM Top Fuel dragster.

The multi-time European champion is competing on a limited schedule due to insufficient funding and is actively seeking partners for 2025 and beyond.

“Seattle was a surprise schedule addition for us and while we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, it was a great opportunity to collect data and try some new stuff. We feel like we learned a lot and we hope we will be able to apply it in Sonoma, and it will show, performance-wise, what we learned,” explained Ida.

“This is a very busy week for us with tons of media and appearances lined up, including doing a media tour in San Francisco before we kick off the weekend. We also have a lot of sponsors in the house and it’ll be a busy week for JCM, which is something we love. This will be my first time racing at Sonoma and it’s one of the tracks that I’ve been looking forward to going to all year. We’re hoping for some cooler weather and some faster times, and we hope we can break our current E.T. record and go some rounds on Sunday.”2024 NHRA Sonoma Nationals Event Recap: N/A
