Hubbard Bringing Hopped Up Pumps to SCSN Dallas

ENNIS, TX — The inaugural EliteHP Street Car Super Nationals: Dallas is coming to the Texas Motorplex Father’s Day weekend and Kenny Hubbard is bringing the gift every race dad is clamoring for. His Hopped Up Pumps have signed on as a sponsor for the upcoming race, scheduled for June 18-19.

Hopped Up Pumps provide a quicker, quieter, and more efficient way of lifting your race car at the track. In the spirit of enterprise and ingenuity, the Texan recognized a problem with the existing pump on car jacks; primarily, they’re loud and take too long to perform the task.

“The other pumps are really loud and take a couple minutes to get the car up, so I created the 18V pump,” Hubbard said. “It’s self-contained and cuts the jack time to about ten seconds rather than a couple minutes.”

The new part replaces the existing pump and requires M18 Milwaukee batteries. Equipped with a fully-adjustable down valve, the Hopped Up Pump removes the need for and removes the necessity of using big air compressors to lift your car. Hubbard said the response from racers has been immediate and positive.

“I started posting them on my Facebook page and people were grabbing them up,” he said. “EliteHP reached out and bought three and also let me know they want to be a distributor.”

In addition to providing sponsorship for the event, Hubbard, a regular at both the St. Louis SCSN and the granddaddy of them all in Las Vegas, is also bringing his Nova to the Motorplex to compete in the Small Tire/No Time class.

“I just like the Vegas race and we strive to go there every year,” Hubbard said. “It’s a must. It’s a great race and we enjoy it. Mel put our cars on his shirts, both my Nova & my daughter’s Monte Carlo. He asked if I could help sponsor the race and I thought that was a great way to advertise the pumps.”
