Eaton Backed Todd Robertson “READY” for Sophomore Season in TA/FC
Harrison TWP, MI – After more than 20 years behind the wheel of sprung doorslammer Harrison Township, Michigan’s Todd
Robertson made a huge leap into the ultra competitive world of NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car in 2012 and Todd will be the first to tell you it’s WAY harder than it looks.
“We ran a screw on our last Pro Mod and thought we’d be OK when we made the jump to the Funny Car. Man, was it an eye opener’ said Team Owner/Driver, Todd Robertson.
“These cars, even though they have no suspension, have their own way of chassis tuning that we really weren’t familiar with. Our entire first year we learned something every day. Some things we had to learn were things that the other teams just took for granted as a given. By the end of last year we were able to get into the field and get comfortable with our operation. I guess the best way to describe our experience so far in Funny Car is… We were a big fish in a small pond on the local Pro Mod scene. Then when we went to the Funny Car we were a Guppy in an ocean full of Sharks. Guess what! It’s a year later and the Guppy is still swimming and a lot smarter,” laughed Robertson.
Robertson and his Eaton corporation backed Pro Power Top Alcohol Funny Car team will compete in the NHRA North Central Division season opening event at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis this weekend April 26-28.
