Dustin Lynch Concert Highlights Beer Expo, Car Show, Bull Riding and BBQ Contest to Rev Up Stampede of Speed

ENNIS, TX – On the second day of the inaugural Stampede of Speed the Texas Motorplex will host a massive day of family-friendly events leading up to country superstar Dustin Lynch, Flatland Calvary, Wade Bowen, and Kyle Park taking the stage for a full night of country music. For $25 fans will be able to enjoy a full day of activities. Beginning at 1 p.m. the pits will be filled with hundreds of classic cars and trucks alongside a BBQ contest and impressive beer expo hosting eight of the top Dallas/Ft. Worth craft breweries. The expansion of the 36th annual NHRA Texas Fall Nationals, the richest week in drag racing, to include over a week of Texas-themed events dubbed the Stampede of Speed has created the opportunity for fans from across the country to descend on Texas Motorplex, October 2-10.

“We wanted to produce an event like nothing Texas has ever seen,” said Christie Meyer Johnson, Texas Motorplex co-owner. “I don’t think any venue has ever hosted a major concert, bull riding, car show, beer expo and BBQ contest for a $25 ticket. That kind of value is unheard of especially when we throw in kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult. We will have activities for the kids, too. It is the best value for entertainment in the state hands down .”

The Kid’s Korral will be filled with interactive games and fun activities for kids of all ages. At the conclusion of the event a massive fireworks display will be the perfect ending for a full day of family friendly activities and music.

Highlighting the beer expo will be Armadillo Brewing, Lakewood Brewing, Four Corners, Texas Ale Project, Trinity Cider, Hop & Sting Brewing, 3 Nations Brewing and Martin House Brewing. Ticketed fans over 21 will receive a beer expo passport providing eight, three-ounce samples from any of the participating breweries. Additional passports will be available for purchase for $5 throughout the event.

“We have to thank the participating breweries, especially Armadillo Brewing for creating the beer expo,” said Andy Carter, Texas Motorplex General Manager. “Having that kind of event along with the bull riding gives this event a real Texas vibe that we know fans will enjoy. We are excited to have such a wide variety of events leading up to the Dustin Lynch concert and we are thrilled to be starting the Stampede of Speed.”

Fans will be able to enjoy a wide variety of BBQ as well as beer while they stroll through the hundreds of classic cars and trucks on display. Later in the afternoon the United Pro Rodeo will produce a bull riding event that will have fans jumping out of their seats.

The multi-use facility located just 35 minutes from Dallas and Fort Worth recently announced the Stampede of Speed to the traditional four-day Texas NHRA Fall Nationals. The weeklong schedule of non-racing activities, concerts, educational and business events was finalized over the summer with tickets and sponsorship opportunities available to fans and potential marketing partners from across the country.

The Stampede of Speed event calendar will feature ticketed and non-ticketed events leading up the NHRA Texas Fall Nationals. Fans can visit www.texasmotorplex.com or www.stampedeofspeed.com for more information. Highlights of the Stampede of Speed include:
