M&M Transmission Joins List of Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod Sponsors
MORRISON, CO – With a penchant for being a part of big-time drag racing events, it only made sense for M&M Transmissions to become a partner for the DRAG ILLUSTRATED World Series of Pro Mod, which takes place Aug. 10-11 at Bandimere Speedway. Drag Illustrated officials announced the sponsorship today for a race that will pay $100,000 to the winner.
M&M Transmissions has become a force in the Pro Mod ranks over the last handful of years, which made being a sponsor at the biggest and richest Pro Mod race in the history of the known universe a natural fit.
“To me, this race has a premier feel to it and all the top Pro Mod guys will be there,” owner Mark Micke said. “That’s what we look for when we sponsor an event. We want to sponsor the best events out there, the ones with the most hype and the fastest cars. It falls in line with what we do and it’s going to be a big event, one of the top events of the year. As far as Pro Mod racing goes, this is the top of the food chain and for us it’s a no-brainer.”
Clint Satterfield: ‘The World Series of Pro Mod is the Highlight of Our Entire Year’
MORRISON, CO – Clint Satterfield might have lost in the first round of the inaugural DRAG ILLUSTRATED World Series of Pro Mod a season ago, and his 2018 NHRA Pro Mod season hasn’t gone according to plan thus far.
But good luck convincing the Pro Mod veteran that the $100,000 check going to the 2018 winner of the WSOPM, which takes place Aug. 10-11 at Bandimere Speedway, won’t be coming home with him.
“I’m just saying I’m going to win,” Satterfield said. “After I started looking at time slips last year, I believe I had fastest car there. I know I had faster time slips. Plus what we learned last year, we’ve got some tricks for them. I know the car hasn’t shown a lot of promised on the track yet, but I promise you, it’s one bad ass hot rod.”
It’s a brand-new “Turbo Pig” ’69 Camaro that Satterfield debuted this year, working with Larry Jeffers Race Cars and Xtreme Racing Engines by Carl Stevens, and Satterfield is anxious for its potential to be unleashed.
Jerry Bickel Race Cars Added as Sponsor for Upcoming Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod
MORRISON, CO – The list of successful Pro Mod customers from Jerry Bickel Race Cars is a lengthy one, and now the noted chassis builder will be sponsoring the biggest and richest Pro Mod race in the history of the known universe.
It was announced today by Drag Illustrated officials that Jerry Bickel Race Cars has been named an event sponsor for the upcoming DRAG ILLUSTRATED World Series of Pro Mod, which takes place Aug. 10-11 at Bandimere Speedway and will award $100,000 to the winner of the highly-anticipated race.
“With the success of the event last year, this year stands to be even better and it is exciting to be involved,” Bickel said. “Anytime there’s an event like this to benefit my customers, I like to be able to participate and help that event along. Right now, our main customer base is Pro Mod. It’s a very exciting and interesting class, and the $100,000 on the line at this race is, without a doubt, a huge deal.”
Jerry Bickel Race Car’s state-of-the-art facility in Moscow Mills, Mo., has created some of the most innovative and successful cars in Pro Mod, and is the chassis builder of choice for a number of the elite participants in the WSOPM, including defending champion Mike Bowman, Mike Janis, Todd Tutterow, Jim Whiteley, Shane Molinari, Chad Green and many more.
‘Stevie Fast’ Jackson Promises ‘Longest, Stinkiest, Nastiest, Smokiest Burnout of All Time’ at WSOPM 2018
MORRISON, CO – Big burnouts, a big payday and big excitement. If Stevie “Fast” Jackson had to sum up his thoughts and his plans for the DRAG ILLUSTRATED World Series of Pro Mod that would be it.
Yes, things have not gone according to plan the last two months on the NHRA Pro Mod circuit. But with a month to work until the biggest and richest Pro Mod race in the history of the known universe takes place on Aug. 10-11 at Bandimere Speedway, Jackson is daring you to bet against him at the $100,000 winner-take-all event. Just make sure you bring cash.
“I’m up for any type of shenanigans that cause anyone to talk trash,” Jackson said on Wes Buck’s Facebook Live show. “If somebody wants to call me out for Denver, they can call me out now. (But) I wouldn’t bet against us in the long-term.”
Jackson may seem ripe for the taking at the moment. Since a crash at the finish line during the finals of the NHRA Pro Mod Four-Wide race in Charlotte in late April, it has been a struggle for one of the most popular and outspoken drivers in the sport.
Quick Driving Racing Joins Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod as Event Sponsor
MORRISON, CO – Quick Drive, LLC, sensed the excitement of the inaugural DRAG ILLUSTRATED World Series of Pro Mod a year ago, and now the Denver-area based company is officially part of the 2018 World Series of Pro Mod, which takes place Aug. 10-11 at Bandimere Speedway.
Drag Illustrated officially announced the partnership today, as Quick Drive, a top creator of torque converter drives, will serve as a sponsor for the highly-anticipated race, which features 32 of the top Pro Mod drivers in the world vying for a $100,000 winner-take-all prize.
“I’m really glad that they chose Denver to host the event,” said Brock Graves, who is the owner of Quick Drive, along with his father, Steve, and his brother, Blayne. “Denver has such a large racing community, and each and every year it grows even more, so an event like this is definitely big for us and the area. I think it’s awesome to have the race in Denver, and for a race of this magnitude to be right in our backyard, it’s priceless.”
Quick Drive, LLC, has quickly become a major name in the Pro Mod world, producing high-quality, high-performance solutions to transmission system needs. That means developing top-notch torque converter drive units for some of the top names in Pro Mod, all with a motto of “built by racers for racers.”
