– Hagan comes into Charlotte as Funny Car’s most recent winner. The Christiansburg, Virginia-native scored his 41st career win in the 35th NHRA SpringNationals last Sunday at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas. The triumph served as a bookend for Hagan at Houston, as he scored his first career Funny Car win at the track on April 11, 2010. The 35th SpringNationals served as Houston’s final race, as the track has since closed. Soon after Finals concluded, the new property owners began repurposing the drag racing facility into an industrial park.
– Hagan’s win at Houston expanded his lead in the Funny Car championship standing to 60 points over his nearest purser, Robert Hight.

Leah Pruett, driver of the Code 3 Associates Top Fuel Dragster:
- Earned No. 3 provisional qualifying position in Q1 on Friday (3.772 ET at 328.06 mph).
- Scored one bonus point for third-quickest run of the session.
- Earned No. 1 qualifying position in Q2 on Friday (3.741 ET at 326.79 mph).
- Scored three bonus points for quickest run of the session.
- Earned No. 2 qualifying position in Q3 on Saturday (3.752 ET at 326.32 mph).
- Scored two bonus points for second-quickest run of the session.
- Secured No. 3 qualifying position based off Q2 run on Friday. In Q4 on Saturday, Pruett ran a 3.766 ET at 321.27 mph.
Advanced to Round 2 on Sunday:
- Round 1: 3.740 ET at 327.27 mph, defeated Doug Kalitta (4.100 ET at 227.80 mph) and Rob Passey (13.101 ET at 63.28 mph). Shawn Langdon also advanced to Round 2 (3.853 ET at 316.01 mph).
- Round 2: 3.745 ET at 325.69 mph, lost to Brittany Force (3.725 ET at 329.58 mph) and Steve Torrence (3.744 ET at 328.46 mph). Shawn Langdon (3.884 ET, 294.31 mph) was also defeated by Force and Torrence.

Code 3 Associates Joins Tony Stewart Racing
BROWNSBURG, IN – Code 3 Associates is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization specializing in animal rescue and recovery in disaster areas, 
and it has gained notoriety among the NASCAR community for its association with three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart and his NASCAR team, Stewart-Haas Racing.
The successful partnership has led Code 3 Associates to deepen its motorsports involvement by partnering with Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. Its blue-and-white colors will adorn Leah Pruett’s 11,000-horsepower Top Fuel dragster in the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals April 1-3 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Gainesville, FL – The 53rd NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway is the third event on the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing 
Series’ 22-race calendar in 2022. Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) brings its two fulltime entries – one in Top Fuel for nine-time event winner Leah Pruett and one in Funny Car for 39-time event winner and three-time Funny Car champion Matt Hagan – to the north-central Florida track eyeing continued progress in its debut season. The team scored its first No. 1 qualifying position via Hagan on Feb. 26 during the NHRA Arizona Nationals at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler. Hagan set a new track record (3.823 ET at 333.41 mph), surpassing Courtney Force for the quickest run ever at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. It was also the quickest Funny Car run in four years. It was Hagan’s first No. 1 spot of the season and the 44th of his career.

$80k and Bragging Rights on the Line Saturday in Gainesville
BROWNSBURG, IN – There’s a race within the race during the NHRA Gatornationals this weekend at Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway, and it’ll 
happen live on FOX.
The north-central Florida track that opened in 1968 and hosted the first Gatornationals event in 1970 plays host to another first on Saturday as part of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series weekend March 10-13. The inaugural Pep Boys NHRA Top Fuel All-Star Callout is a specialty race that pits the top-eight Top Fuel drivers against one another in a winner-take-all event worth $80,000 and televised live on FOX.
Leah Pruett, a nine-time Top Fuel event winner and driver of the Dodge Power Brokers Top Fuel dragster for Tony Stewart Racing (TSR), is one of the eight drivers in the Callout. She will be joined by reigning Top Fuel champion Steve Torrence and fellow Top Fuel drivers Brittany Force, Mike Salinas, Justin Ashley, Antron Brown, Doug Kalitta and Shawn Langdon.

Chandler, AZ – Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park is located in Chandler, Arizona, just on the outskirts of Phoenix. It is a multi-use race 
facility that includes four racetracks – an NHRA sanctioned drag strip, a 1.6-mile road course, a 10-turn 1.25 mile road course, and a 1.1 mile road course. The drag strip is home to this weekend’s NHRA Arizona Nationals.
