Super Series, will be a featured guest on the BracketLife Brand podcast, hosted by Brandon Barker and Andrew Stirk, the week of June 3, 2025.
The Quick 32 Sportsman Series, the Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS), the 5.50 Super Series, along with the Box and No-Box divisions will compete on the Empire Dragway eighth-mile track surface and compete for their respective Championship Point Award Series on June 20 – 21, July 18 – 19, August 15 – 16 and September 19 – 20, 2025.

Rookie Drivers Ready for Empire Dragway Quick 32 Sportsman Series Events
Ryan Harris and Ashton Halas to compete in the Championship Point Award Series
CAYUGA, ON – Rookie contenders Ryan Harris and Ashton Halas are set to compete in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series Champion Point
Award Series at Empire Dragway in 2025.
“The Quick 32 Sportsman Series could not be more pleased to introduce our series to these two young men,” explained Bruce Mehlenbacher. “They have spent considerable time in Junior Dragsters mentored by their experienced fathers, Kyle Harris and Tim Halas, who have passed on their knowledge and passion for the sport.”

LEICESTER, NY – In less than two months, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the Pro Bike and Sled Series (PBSS) will kick off their season
at Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY for 2025.
The Series will compete four times at the New York State facility, on June 20 – 21, July 18 – 19, August 15 – 16 and September 19 – 20 in 2025
The events will include the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, the Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS), and the 5.50 Index Series, Box and No-Box divisions. The competition will be held on the Empire Dragway eighth-mile track surface and compete for their respective Championship Point Award Series.
Charlie Emler, the 2024 Quick 32 Sportsman Series Champion, plans to return along with Top Dragster regulars Buddy Forrest, Tyler Rudolph, Brett Bennett, Craig Giordano, Burt Lyon, Greg Kerl, Rich Yacos, Don Kiekel, Ray Agro Jr., Mike Kalin, Mark Romanofsky, Lucas Salemi, Jessica Bennett, Bob Bauer Jr., Art Cioffi, Davy Markle, Dave Markle, Steven Markle, Scott Church, Shawna Woudstra and rookie Top Dragster drivers Ryan Harris and Ashton Halas. four race dates on the 2025 calendar.

JOHN VERGOTZ JR. WINS QUICK 32 SPORTSMAN SERIES AND MIKE NEARHOOF WINS PRO BIKE & SLED SERIES FINALE AT EMPIRE DRAGWAY

LEICESTER, NY – The Quick 32 Sportsman Series and Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) Championship Point Award Series for 2024 was
determined over the weekend at Empire Dragway in Leicester, New York.
Charlie Emler Jr. from Spencerport, NY, secured the championship with his 738-cubic-inch Buck Racing Engines, nitrous-powered 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Top Sportsman entry by advancing to the final round of Top Sportsman Eliminator. Tony “The Shoe” Platania finished second, followed by Buddy Forrest in third, Tyler Rudolph finished fourth, and Craig Chadderdon rounded out the top five.
Lee Burgess’s Pro Bike 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa, a 1340-cc powered entry from Canton, PA, secured the 2024 Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) Championship while being closely contested by Josh Costa, who finished second, and Josie Brooks finished third. Bill Pippard finished in fourth place, and Drew Nearhoof in fifth. All racing was contested on the Empire’s eighth-mile surface.
Two first-timers to the Quick 32 Sportsman Series won Top Dragster and Top Sportsman, respectively, with John Vergotz Jr. defeating Lui Ramundo to determine the overall Quick 32 Sportsman Series event winner. Continue reading

Championship Point Award Series Titles on the Line
LEICESTER, NY – The Championship Point Award Series for 2024 will be decided September 13 -14 at Empire Dragway in Leicester, New York. Due to inclement weather, the first scheduled event of the season was canceled, so a slick, three-race series would decide the
Championship.
Kayden Wicke leads the Quick 32 Sportsman Series Championship Point Award Series with 473 points, followed closely by Anthony Platania in second with 469 points, Charlie Elmer Jr. in third with 459 points, Craig Chadderdon in fourth with 457 points, and Buddy Forrest rounds out the top five with 440 points.
The Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) Championship Point Award Series is led by Lee Burgess with 470 points, followed by Josie Brooks in second place with 460 points, Josh Costa in third place with 455 points, Bill Pippard in fourth place with 438 points and Drew Nearhoof in fifth place with 410 points.
Qualifying rounds will be held Friday, September 13, at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 14, at 10:00 a.m., with eliminations starting at 12:00 noon. Continue reading

entry to the Quick 32 Sportsman Series win at Empire Dragway in Leicester, New York, this past weekend.
Charlie Emler Jr. from Spencerport, NY, won in the Top Sportsman division, but could not make the Quick 32 Sportsman Series overall Top Dragster vs. Top Sportsman final round in his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, which is powered by a 738 cubic inch Buck Racing Engine on Nitrous.
In the Top Dragster division final, Platania defeated Brett Bennett from Avon, NY, with a 4.79 second 141.46 mph pass on a 4.79 dial-in vs. Bennett’s 4.54 seconds 151.46 mph on a 4.52 dial-in. Semi-finalists were Tyler Rudolph’s 2010 American Race Cars Dragster from Hemlock, NY and Rich Yacos’s 2018 Mike Bos Dragster from Cambria, NY and quarter-finalists were Mike Kalin, Craig Giordano, Buddy Forrest and Lucas Salemi.
The number one qualifier in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series Top Dragster division was Mike Kalin from Niagara Falls, NY, leading the field of 16 entries with a 3.88-second 187.89-mph pass in the eighth mile. Continue reading

Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Pro Bike, Pro Sled and NEOPMA/PMRA Pro Modifieds return to Empire Dragway
LEICESTER, NY – The second of this year’s Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Challenges at Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY, is set to take place
August 15-17. The event will include the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS).
Several of the winning teams from this season and last have been among the first to confirm their entries. Cody Reome from McGraw, NY and his Finish Line Super Cars Top Dragster clocked two wins last year and are looking to repeat. Kayden Wicke of Stratford, Ontario, won the overall Quick 32 Sportsman Series at this year’s previous event and is eager for another win with his K&K Racing 2006 Dodge Stratus. Plus, you can never count out the Top Sportsman Dan Germano who piloted Magnum Motorsports’ 1968 Chevrolet Camaro from Macedon, NY and Craig Chadderdon’s Big Blue, the Top Dragster winner from earlier this year from Scottsville, NY.
The Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) will include previous winner Josh Costa from Retsof, NY, riding his 2009 Suzuki Hayabusa and Josie Brooks from Arkona, ON, riding her 1997 GSXR 750. Brooks was the number one qualifier at the last two events and the winner in 2023. Continue reading

Mike Decker Jr. Wins NEOPMA / PMRA Empire Dragway Northeast Outlaws Pro Mod Challenge VI
LEICESTER, NY – Kayden Wicke drove the K&K Racing Team 2006 Dodge Stratus Top Sportsman entry to the Quick 32 Sportsman Series
win at Leicester, New York’s Empire Dragway this past weekend.
From Stratford, ON, Wicke defeated Craig Chadderdon’s Big Blue Top Dragster in the Top Dragster vs. Top Sportsman Quick 32 Sportsman Series final. Wicke ran 4.3862 seconds on a 4.39 dial-in at 158.90 mph, to Chadderdon’s 4.36-second run on a 4.36 dial-in at 164.41 mph.
Qualifying number one in the Top Dragster division was Buddy Forrest from Spencerport, NY, with a 4.0944 second, 177.51 mph pass, but he was eliminated in the semi-finals. Chadderdon defeated Don Kiekel in the Top Dragster final. The other semi-finalist was Raymond Agro Jr., and the quarter-finalists were Craig Giordano, Billy Leber, Jessica Bennett and Burt Lyon.
Luke DeJonge of Puslinch, ON, paced the Top Sportsman teams, qualifying first with a 4.3403 second, 165.14 mph pass, but was taken out in the final round of the Top Sportsman Series division by Wicke. Semi-finalists were Ron Szewczyk and Tom Simone, quarter-finalists were Doug Lynden, Bob Jaus Jr. and Tony Madonia. Continue reading
