ProMedia LLC Hires Steve Baur as New Editor of Fastest Street Car Magazine
Santa Ana, CA – ProMedia LLC is proud to announce the addition of Steve Baur as the new editor of Fastest Street Car (FSC) 
magazine effective Monday, August 18. He is replacing Evan Perkins who is leaving the FSC editor position to pursue an opportunity as the editor of a new online road-racing magazine.
With more than 13 years of experience as an associate and technical editor at Source Interlink Media, Baur brings a wealth of experience in producing quality content for automotive enthusiast publications. He’s provided articles and photography for titles such as Muscle Mustang & Fast Fords, Mustang Illustrated, High-Performance Pontiac, GM High Tech Performance, and Modified Mustangs & Fords, where he served as editor for four years. Baur’s work has also appeared in Truckin’, Super Chevy, Car Craft, Modified, Race Pages, FSC, and Summit Racing’s blog, On All Cylinders.
The Dave Duell Classic Returns to Gateway Motorsports Park
Santa Ana, CA – One of the largest Nostalgia Super Stock races in the country will be returning to Gateway Motorsports Park 
(Madison, IL) just outside of St. Louis, MO, the weekend of May 23-25, 2014, as a part of the Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Muscle Car Nationals. After announcing that the NMCA Flowmaster series would return to Gateway in 2014, the NMCA and Doug Duell (Dave’s son) announced that the Dave Duell Classic would return to its longtime home.
Duell and fellow racers organized the Dave Duell Classic eight years ago as a tribute to his father, Dave Duell, who was an instrumental racer and ambassador to the Nostalgia Super Stock movement across the country. The Classic is open to all brands of vehicles, and has continued to grow each year. ATI Performance Nostalgia Super Stock competitors will be parked together and will all be invited to a special Saturday evening BBQ.

Flowmaster Renews Sponsorship for 2014 Season

As a sponsor, Flowmaster will attend most NMCA and NMCA WEST events across the United States as well as offer contingency payouts and more to successful racers in both series.

ProMedia Invests in Electrimotion Shutdown Transmitter for all NMRA, NMCA and NMCA WEST Events
Santa Ana, CA – As part of the ProMedia Competition Department’s continuing efforts to enhance safety at their NMCA, NMCA 
WEST and NMRA events, an Electrimotion Shutdown Transmitter will be in use at all 2014 events across the country. The installation of the Electrimotion safety device is highly recommended for all Pro Mod competitors in the upcoming season. The device, when used in conjunction with the Electrimotion Safety Box, will automatically shut off fuel and ignition as well as deploy the parachutes once the vehicle has passed the finish line (if the driver has not done so already). The system activates when the car passes the wall-mounted transmitter just past the finish line.
“As part of our ProPledge initiative to our competitors and fans, we felt it was important to invest and implement the transmitter at our races and recommend the safety device for Pro Mod racers,” said Rollie Miller, ProMedia National Event Director. “Our tech department will have the system installed at every event beginning with the NMRA race in Bradenton, Florida on March 6-9.”
Camee Edelbrock Joins ProMedia LLC as Director of Marketing
Santa Ana, CA – ProMedia LLC is proud to announce the addition of Camee Edelbrock to their staff of motorsports enthusiasts. As 
Director of Marketing, Edelbrock will oversee all of the company’s marketing efforts in order to promote their street-legal drag races to fans and racers. Her duties will include working with the existing team on press releases, national print advertising, digital marketing, social media marketing, sponsor promotions and much more.

NMRA Adds Coyote Modified Class to its Heads-Up Drag Racing Program
Santa Ana, CA – It’s official…Coyote Modified will be NMRA’s newest heads-up drag racing category in 2014. The largest all-Ford 
national event series is taking aim at one of the hottest segments in the high performance aftermarket, the Coyote 5.0L powerplant. “As the biggest Ford drag racing series we have a commitment to the racers and sponsors to grow sportsman, heads-up drag racing and adding Coyote Modified is a big step forward,” said NMRA Tech Director Dave Werremeyer.
Coyote Modified will run under the class designation of CM and will attract boost and nitrous infused Coyote-powered cars to come play in the NMRA sandbox. Coyote Modified has been built with special attention on aftermarket manufacturers, late-model tuner shops and speed shops, and of course the sportsman drag racer. This heads-up eliminator is a stripped down category when compared to a previous NMRA mid-level power adder class. The goal is to have few barriers to entry and let the power adders dictate the mechanical limits instead of a long list of specs. This new theme will generate a wide range of competitors that can enter, which can include everything from street cars to purpose-built racecars.
NMCA & NMRA Awards Ceremonies at 2013 PRI Trade Show Announced!
Santa Ana, CA – Season-ending awards ceremonies for the National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) and National Mustang Racers 
Association (NMRA) will take place Friday, December 13, 2013, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, site of the 26th Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show.
Hosted by TV personality Bret Kepner, the NMCA/Flowmaster Muscle Car Nationals Awards Ceremony will feature Aerospace Components NHRA Unleashed Winners, as well as awards for Rookie of the Year, Sportsman of the Year, Crew Member of the Year and Ambassador of the Year.
The program takes place from 5:30–7:30 p.m. in the Convention Center’s Sagamore Ballroom 1-3. Admission is open to the public, but RSVP is requested for reserved seating.
The Largest NMRA Event of the Year Set to Invade Bowling Green, KY, Oct. 3-6, 2013
Santa Ana, CA – ProMedia Events, home of the #1 NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals, is gearing up for the largest all-Ford 
event of the year in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the weekend of October 3-6, 2013. The 15th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA All-Ford World Finals will invade Beech Bend Raceway and Mustangs will take over the city of Bowling Green, which has played host to major Ford events since the first World Ford Challenge back in 1998.
The NMRA All-Ford World Finals will feature all the cars and all the stars of blue oval drag racing with racers setting their combinations “on kill” in search of world championships and exclusive Nitto Tire Diamond Tree champions rings. This extra special event will showcase everything from 7-second turbocharged street outlaws to wheel-standing Renegades and everything in between. The TREMEC True Street class, presented by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, has averaged well over 100 competitors the past 3 years and is testimonial to the crazy street-legal performance possible with Mustangs and Fords.
