LEICESTER, NY – The Pro Modifieds of the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association (NEOPMA) and Pro Modified Racing Association
(PMRA) will return to Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY this weekend, in the first of two scheduled weekend shows for 2023. Last year the Pro Modifieds from both series ran successfully on the New York state drag strip, and this year’s event promises to provide more action and cars in this popular door-slammer class.
“Together with John (NEOPMA President John Mazzorana) and Jerry Scaccia (Empire Dragway), we worked out a trial show with the Pro Modifieds last year and it was a big hit,” noted PMRA Series Director Bruce Mehlenbacher. “This year we have more cars from NEOPMA, plus a contingent of PMRA teams from Ontario, to present one of the finest Pro Modified shows around.”
Along with a strong Pro Modified presence, a bonus for fans this year is the addition of the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, which includes Top Sportsman and Top Dragster teams. A full field of teams from both sides of the US-Canada border are ready to do battle on the Empire Dragway eighth-mile.

PMRA and the Quick 32 Sportsman Series to be featured on Raceline Radio Network
Cayuga, ON – In the spring of 2009, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series. www.Quick32.ca was established for high-horsepower Sportsman-class
teams to compete on a regular basis. These teams, from Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, and New York had little opportunity to compete in a professionally-operated series devoted solely to these types of drag racing cars.
The Series is comprised of Top Sportsman, or “door” cars (full-bodied, full-fendered cars), and Top Dragsters. Both classes are based on the same classes in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and International Hot Rod Association (IHRA).
A major step in the development of this new series was the Championship Point Award Series, which continues to be presented by NAPA Auto Parts.
The Quick 32 Sportsman Series uses rules, regulations, and other factors of the established and successful Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA. The Series offers a wide variety of body styles (dragster, altered, door-car) and engine combinations (carburettor, supercharged, turbocharged) for versatile, diverse, and colorful Sportsman drag racing.
