Stewart, Prock and Glenn Win NHRA 4-Wide Nationals
TONY STEWART, AUSTIN PROCK & DALLAS GLENN GET WINS AT NHRA 4-WIDE NATIONALS
LAS VEGAS – Racing legend Tony Stewart picked up his first career NHRA Top Fuel win on Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway, defeating a quad that included reigning world champion Antron Brown, Jasmine Salinas and Justin Ashley at the 25th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals.
Austin Prock (Funny Car) and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) also won the fourth of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Stewart went 3.870-seconds at 317.42 mph in his 11,000-horsepower Rayce Rudeen Foundation Dodge//SRT dragster to hold off Brown at the finish line, claiming his first career victory in the Top Fuel ranks and adding to the Hall of Famer’s long list of accolades. The former world champion in the NASCAR and IndyCar ranks won NHRA Rookie of the Year honors a year ago, and then went to the final round two weeks ago in Pomona before racing to the victory on Sunday in Las Vegas.
The team had performed well early in the season and then added to it in Las Vegas, qualifying fifth and then winning both of the first two quads on holeshots. He quickly tracked down Ashley and then Salinas, getting by Brown just before the finish line to claim a memorable win. LAS VEGAS – The final pass of Saturday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway proved to be a great one for Doug Kalitta, as the former
Top Fuel world champion picked up the win in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge and rolled to the No. 1 position in one impressive pass at the 25th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals.
Spencer Hyde (Funny Car) and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge bonus race on Saturday, while Paul Lee (Funny Car) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) qualified No. 1 at the fourth of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Kalitta went 3.730-seconds at 331.04 mph in his 11,000-horsepower Mac Tools dragster in a standout quad that featured No. 2 qualifier Brittany Force, Tony Stewart and Clay Millican, handing the former world champion his second No. 1 qualifier of the year and 60th in his remarkable career. Kalitta Motorsports teammate Shawn Langdon won the first two Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenges this year, as Kalitta kept the Top Fuel team perfect this season in the bonus race. Continue reading
Torrence, Lee and Anderson Lead Friday Quaifying at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals
TORRENCE, LEE AND ANDERSON ROLL TO PROVISIONAL NO. 1 SPOTS AT NHRA 4-WIDE NATIONALS
LAS VEGAS – Four-time Top Fuel world champion Steve Torrence powered to the provisional No. 1 qualifier on Friday at The Strip at Las
Vegas Motor Speedway, as he looks for his first top position of the year at the 25th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals.
Paul Lee (Funny Car) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) are also the provisional No. 1 qualifiers at the fourth of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Torrence went 3.840-seconds at 320.81 mph in his 11,000-horsepower Capco Contractors dragster, one of just two drivers to reach the 3.80s on a warm day in Las Vegas. If it holds, Torrence, who has five career wins in Las Vegas, would earn his 41st career No. 1 qualifier.
“When you come to Vegas, you come here with expectations and it could be like this, or it could be cold. It could be Candy Land, or it could be tricky and tough to navigate, and this is what we got today,” Torrence said. “It looks like we’ll have that for the rest of the weekend. We had a little bit of luck on the first run, but it went 900 of the 1,000 feet on seven cylinders and it went down through there pretty quick.” Continue reading
PRO STOCK RISING STAR CORY REED LOOKS FOR SUCCESS AT NHRA 4-WIDE NATIONALS IN VEGAS
LAS VEGAS – Cory Reed made the switch to Pro Stock car from Pro Stock Motorcycle last season and this weekend at the 25th annual NHRA
4-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he’ll have his first go at four-wide racing in the Pro Stock category.
After competing for several years in the Pro Stock Motorcycle ranks, Reed joined the KB Titan Racing powerhouse team, where he drives the J&A Service Chevrolet Camaro. This weekend will be his first four-wide race in a Pro Stock car, and also his first four-wide race in four years. The wildest spectacle in racing presents a challenge, but Reed is confident he’ll be ready.
“My last four-wide format race was in 2021 on my Pro Stock Motorcycle, so it’s been a few years, but I think it’ll be easy to get right back into it,” Reed said. “Of course, there’s a lot more that goes into racing Pro Stock than motorcycles so I think the first few runs will just be making sure I do my regular routine and doing my job as a driver.” Continue reading
DANIEL WILKERSON AIMS FOR FIRST FUNNY CAR WIN AT THIS WEEKEND’S NHRA 4-WIDE NATIONALS IN LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS – After a runner-up finish in Pomona, Funny Car driver Daniel Wilkerson has his sights set on this weekend’s 25th annual
NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with hopes of securing his first career NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series victory.
Wilkerson and his 12,000-horsepower SCAG Racing Ford Mustang team will join the other stars of the NHRA as they put their Funny Cars to the test at Las Vegas in the first four-wide race of the season. With 48,000 horsepower on the track at once, providing one of the wildest spectacles in motorsports and the coveted NHRA Wally trophy on the line, anything can happen and Wilkerson is eager to try and take advantage.
“I’m still beaming with excitement from Sunday at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Drag Strip,” Wilkerson said. “I’m so proud of my team for rebounding from a tough qualifying effort on Friday and Saturday and then to make it to the finals on Sunday. TOP FUEL’S CLAY MILLICAN EYES FIRST FOUR-WIDE WIN THIS WEEKEND IN LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS – Coming off one of the biggest wins in his NHRA career – and certainly the earliest of any season in his NHRA Top Fuel career
– Clay Millican now has the opportunity for another special victory at this weekend’s 25th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
It’s a special milestone weekend and celebration for the annual spring race in Las Vegas and Millican is a huge fan of going four-wide racing in his 11,000-horsepower Parts Plus dragster for Rick Ware Racing.
The only thing he hasn’t done in the wild and unique four-wide setup is win the race, something the fan-favorite hopes to change this weekend in Las Vegas. Millican and his team are riding high after a victory at the Winternationals in Pomona and that momentum could bode well in Las Vegas at one of the biggest spectacles in motorsports, one that features nearly 50,000-horsepower when four nitro machines blast down the track at the same time.
