KALITTA, VANDERGRIFF, ANDERSON SWEEP MISSION #2FAST2TASTY NHRA CHALLENGE AT NEW ENGLAND NATIONALS
EPPING, NH — Reigning Top Fuel world champion Doug Kalitta, Funny Car standout Jordan Vandergriff and Pro Stock veteran Greg Anderson swept the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge on Saturday at the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto at New England Dragway.
Kalitta won his third Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge of the 2026 season in Top Fuel, defeating his Kalitta Motorsports teammate Shawn Langdon in an all-team final. It was another dominant midseason performance for the defending world champion, who continues to set the pace in the nitro ranks heading into Sunday’s elimination rounds at Race 8 of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.
In Funny Car, Jordan Vandergriff claimed his second Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge victory of the season, taking the win over Ron Capps. Vandergriff has established himself as a consistent force in the Funny Car class this season, and Saturday’s result reinforced his status as one of the class’s top contenders at New England Dragway.

EPPING, NH – Funny Car newcomer Jordan Vandergriff earned his first career No. 1 qualifier on Saturday at New England Dragway and also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge in the process, rolling to a spectacular Saturday for John Force Racing in front of a sellout crowd at the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto.
Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday, while Shawn Langdon (Funny Car) and Anderson (Pro Stock) qualified No. 1 at the eighth of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Vandergriff closed out Saturday in impressive fashion, going 3.913-seconds at 323.58 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS to edge out points leader Ron Capps in the final round of the bonus race. It was a thrilling way to end a standout session in Funny Car in front of a capacity crowd, as Vandergriff also swiped the top qualifier from teammates Alexis DeJoria and Jack Beckman.

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – After a rocky start to the season, reigning Funny Car world champion Austin Prock earned his first victory of the year when he won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday at Maryland International Raceway. With momentum on his side, he is looking to claim his first win of 2026 at the inaugural NHRA Potomac Nationals presented by JEGS.
Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), Aaron Stanfield (Pro Stock) and Angie Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, while Langdon (Top Fuel), Beckman (Funny Car), Greg Stanfield (Pro Stock) and Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) all qualified No. 1 at the seventh of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Prock, driver of the PPG Ford Mustang, has dominated the Funny Car category for the last two seasons, earning 18 race wins throughout 2024 and 2025. This year he has seen major struggles, including not qualifying for the season opener in Gainesville. With his Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge win on Saturday, it gives Prock and his team some confidence for race day on Sunday.
DeJoria, Langdon, Enders and Herrera Sweep Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge at Route 66 Nationals; Qualifying Order Unchanged After Saturday Sessions
JOLIET, Ill. — Saturday at Route 66 Raceway brought dramatically different conditions than the cool, breezy Friday that opened qualifying for the Gerber Collision & Glass NHRA Route 66 Nationals presented by PEAK — but when the smoke cleared from four rounds of the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge, four drivers had new hardware and a little extra cash in their pockets.
With overnight rain giving way to rising temperatures and climbing humidity, the pro classes faced a significantly altered racing surface for Saturday’s Q3 and Q4 sessions. Despite the challenging conditions, Doug Kalitta, Jack Beckman, Erica Enders, and Angie Smith retained their No. 1 qualifying positions heading into Sunday’s eliminations. The qualifying order from Friday held firm across all four professional categories. RACER

Concord, NC – Qualifying concluded Saturday at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals with no changes at the top of the order. Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), Ron Capps (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock), and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) will all enter Sunday’s eliminations as the No. 1 qualifiers.

Langdon, Capps, Anderson and M. Smith all qualify No. 1 at NHRA 4-Wide Nationals
CONCORD, NC – Top Fuel’s Clay Millican won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge for the first time in 2026 on Saturday at zMAX Dragway, picking up the victory in the bonus race on a holeshot as part of this weekend’s 16th NHRA 4-Wide Nationals.
Jordan Vandergriff (Funny), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also picked up Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge victories, while Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), Ron Capps (Funny Car), Anderson (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) qualified No. 1 at the fourth of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Taking on a quad that included Billy Torrence, Josh Hart and points leader Doug Kalitta, who had won the first two Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge races of the year, Millican went 3.832-seconds at 325.14 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Parts Plus dragster for Rick Ware Racing, holding off Torrence at the finish line.
Kalitta left first in the quad, but Millican was second with an .076 reaction time, which proved to be the difference against Torrence, who went 3.820 at 327.27 but struggled off the starting line. That meant Millican ended up with a much-needed victory, which he hopes can translate into another win on Sunday.

In Top Fuel, Doug Kalitta defeated Top Fuel rookie Maddi Gordon to earn his second consecutive Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge victory of the season. The win further solidifies Kalitta’s strong start to the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series campaign.
In Funny Car, Matt Hagan picked up his first Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge win of the season, defeating Paul Lee in the final round at Pomona.

KALITTA, HAGAN AND GLENN WIN MISSION #2FAST2TASTY CHALLENGE IN POMONA
POMONA, CA– Top Fuel’s Doug Kalitta continued to rule the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday at In-N-Out Pomona Dragstrip, winning the bonus race for a second straight time after beating Maddi Gordon on the final round as part of the 66th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals.
Matt Hagan (Funny Car) and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, while Leah Pruett (Top Fuel), J.R. Todd (Funny Car) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) all qualified No. 1 at the third of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Kalitta has simply been dominant in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge the past two years, winning for the seventh time since the start of 2025, with Saturday’s coming after going 3.747-seconds at 333.66 mph in his Mac Tools dragster to hold off the rookie sensation Gordon.
Saturday success has proven beneficial for the Kalitta Motorsports team, as the reigning world champion entered the weekend as the points leader. Already the winningest Top Fuel driver at Pomona, he’ll look to win at the historic track for the eighth time on Sunday.
