TOP FUEL’S JUSTIN ASHLEY EAGER FOR BIG WEEKEND AT DENSO NHRA SONOMA NATIONALS
SONOMA, CA – Despite a second-round loss last weekend in Seattle, Justin Ashley remains on track to peak at perhaps the perfect time
during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, still bringing plenty of momentum into this weekend’s Denso NHRA Sonoma presented by PowerEdge at Sonoma Raceway.
Before that race, Ashley had won back-to-back events in his 12,000-horsepower Scag Power Equipment dragster, advancing to the final round at six of the previous seven races. Ashley still remains red-hot heading to Sonoma, staying in contention for the regular season championship – which nets the winner $150,000 in the nitro ranks – and getting him Countdown to the Championship ready.
He trails Shawn Langdon, who won in impressive fashion in Seattle, by 93 points heading into Sonoma, feeling momentum at a track that has served him well. Ashley won at the spectacular facility in 2023 and would love to add another on a weekend where marquee runs could be plentiful with standout weather expected. Continue reading

SEATTLE – Top Fuel’s Shawn Langdon moved past Tony Stewart into the points lead on Sunday at Pacific Raceways, defeating Brittany Force
in the final round of the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals.
Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the 11th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Langdon went 3.662-seconds at 337.07 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Kalitta Air Careers dragster to race past Force, picking up his third win of the season for Kalitta Motorsports and the 22nd in his career. On a crucial points day, Langdon defeated Cam Ferre and Tony Stewart earlier in the day en route to his first career win at Pacific Raceways.
Force went 341.85 mph in the semifinals, making the fastest run in NHRA history, but suffered tire smoke in the final round as Langdon cruised to the victory, making three runs in the 3.60s on Sunday. He now leads Stewart by 12 points heading to Sonoma on yet another consistent weekend for the former world champion. Continue reading

SEATTLE – Top Fuel’s Shawn Langdon helped continue Kalitta Motorsports’ dominance in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday
at Pacific Raceways, winning the specialty race for the fourth time this season as part of this weekend’s Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals.
Austin Prock (Funny Car), Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) and John Hall (Pro Stock Motorcycle) all won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, while Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Prock, Glenn and Hall qualified No. 1 at the 11th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Langdon made a spectacular run to close out qualifying and win the bonus race over points leader Tony Stewart, going a strong 3.718-seconds at 338.17 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Kalitta Air Careers dragster. Kalitta, Todd, Anderson and Hall, Take Provisional Polls on Friday at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals
KALITTA, TODD, ANDERSON & HALL ROLL TO PROVISIONAL NO. 1 SPOTS AT MUCKLESHOOT CASINO RESORT NHRA NORTHWEST NATIONALS
SEATTLE – Top Fuel’s Doug Kalitta just missed out on the track record on Friday at Pacific Raceways, taking the provisional No. 1 spot under
the lights at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals.
J.R. Todd (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also the provisional No. 1 qualifiers at the 11th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, with each also claiming the Deecell Power Systems “After Dark Low Qualifier” award.
Kalitta went 3.671-seconds at 335.90 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Mac Tools dragster, just missing the track record of 3.670 he set a year ago. But it was plenty good enough to take the No. 1 spot, giving him the $4,000 Deecell “After Dark Low Qualifier” award. Should that hold, Kalitta would earn his sixth No. 1 qualifier this year and continue his torrid qualifying pace.
What the veteran would enjoy even more is his first victory of the season, something he hopes can come together in ideal weather conditions this weekend in Seattle. Continue reading
PRO STOCK’S DALLAS GLENN RETURNS TO HOME TRACK AT PACIFIC RACEWAYS; PSM’S CHASE VAN SANT HOPES TO REPEAT SEATTLE SUCESS
SEATTLE – As NHRA teams head west to Pacific Raceways for this weekend’s 36th annual Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest
Nationals, standout Dallas Glenn is hoping to nab his first Pro Stock win at his home track.
Glenn, originally from Covington, Wash., finished runner-up at last year’s Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals to five-time champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. Glenn spent time racing at the Pacific Raceways as a kid, so a win in Seattle would mean a lot.
“I’ve been thinking about our runner-up in Seattle since the day we left last year,” said Glenn. “We came up just a little short against Jeg and we want to seal the deal this year.”
Glenn has already picked up three wins this season in his RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet Camaro. He currently sits second in points behind his KB Titan teammate and reigning world champion Greg Anderson. Anderson has four wins on the season and leads Glenn by 50 points. This season for the first time, NHRA will be crowning regular season champions in each of the four Mission Foods Drag Racing Series class. The Pro Stock regular season championship will come down to Glenn and Anderson. Continue reading
