NHRA RELEASES PRO STOCK AND PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE SCHEDULES FOR 75TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON IN 2026

Pro Stock set to compete at all 20 races; PSM to race at 14 events, as well as GETTRX All-Star Callout in Sonoma

INDIANAPOLIS – NHRA officials announced the 2026 schedule for the Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle categories in the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, including the dates for the GETTRX NHRA All-Star Callout in both categories.

As part of the NHRA’s 75th anniversary season in 2026, Pro Stock will compete at all 20 races next year, giving fans across the country the chance to see the standout category in action. The special 75th NHRA season begins with the 56th annual NHRA Gatornationals on March 5-8 at legendary Gainesville Raceway.

It puts Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock at all 20 events in 2026, while Pro Stock Motorcycle will be contested at 14 races, plus the GETTRX All-Star Callout in Sonoma.

Pro Stock Motorcycle will open its season with the category’s traditional opener in Gainesville, and will also race at the four-wide race in Charlotte and at South Georgia Motorsports Park during NHRA’s national event debut there. The two-wheeled category will also compete in Chicago, as part of NHRA’s national event debut at Maryland International Raceway, Bristol and Norwalk in a busy May and June.

The eight riders who qualify for the GETTRX Pro Stock Motorcycle Callout will compete in the bonus race at the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals on July 17-18. KALITTA, TODD, ANDERSON & GADSON WIN MISSION #2FAST2TASTY CHALLENGE AT INDY

Force, Beckman, Anderson and Herrera remain No. 1 qualifiers at Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. National

INDIANAPOLIS – Top Fuel veteran Doug Kalitta won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge for the fifth time this season on Saturday at a packed Lucas Oil Raceway Indianapolis Raceway Park, defeating Clay Millican in the final round of the specialty race as part of this weekend’s prestigious Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals.

J.R. Todd (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Richard Gadson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, while Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Jack Beckman (Funny Car), Anderson and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) remained the provisional No. 1 qualifiers at the 14th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Selections were made for the first round of Sunday’s PlayNHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout. No. 1 seed Austin Prock selected Cruz Pedregon, while Beckman picked Bob Tasca III. Ron Capps chose Daniel Wilkerson, leaving Matt Hagan and J.R. Todd as the other matchup. Continue reading

BECKMAN, LANGDON & ANDERSON WIN MISSION #2FAST2TASTY CHALLENGE IN BRAINERD

Beckman, Kalitta and Anderson take No. 1 spots at Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals

BRAINERD, MN – Funny Car veteran Jack Beckman won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge over Matt Hagan on Saturday at Brainerd International Raceway, also securing the No. 1 qualifier at the 43rd annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals.

Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge in Brainerd, while Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Beckman and Anderson all qualified No. 1 at the 13th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

In the final round of the specialty race, Beckman won the matchup of world champions, going 3.942-seconds at 324.59 mph in his 12,000-horsepower PEAK Chevrolet SS. It’s the third bonus win of the season for Beckman, who returned to the Funny Car ranks a year ago in Brainerd.

He was named John Force’s replacement driver starting at that race and Beckman has been impressive over the past year, making a pair of stellar runs on Saturday in Brainerd. Beckman took the No. 1 spot in qualifying – his fourth top spot this season – with a run of 3.879 at 330.63 to open the day and then topped Hagan to finish off a strong Saturday. The former world champion opens eliminations against Dave Richards and will attempt to win for the third time during the 2025 campaign. Continue reading

SONOMA, CA – A day after making the fastest run in NHRA history, Top Fuel star Brittany Force won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge for the first time in 2025, defeating Justin Ashley in the final round of the bonus race on Saturday Sonoma Raceway as part of this weekend’s 37th annual Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge.

Ron Capps (Funny Car) and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) both won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, while Force, Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Glenn and Richard Gadson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) qualified No. 1 at the 12th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

In the finals of the specialty race, Force went 3.869-seconds at 324.75 mph in her 12,000-horsepower Monster Energy dragster, easily holding off Ashley, who ran into tire smoke during the matchup. FUNNY CAR STANDOUT ALEXIS DEJORIA READY FOR UPCOMING DENSO NHRA SONOMA NATIONALS

SONOMA, CA – After a strong showing in Seattle, Funny Car driver Alexis DeJoria is ready for the 37th annual Denso Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge at scenic Sonoma Raceway.

DeJoria, driver of the 12,000-horsepower Bandero Café Funny Car, advanced to the semifinals last weekend at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals in Seattle. She won the opening round of competition with a holeshot victory over Gainesville winner Chad Green and then defeated former champion and Epping winner J.R. Todd in the quarterfinals with another holeshot win, before falling to eventual winner and four-time world champion Matt Hagan.

After three consecutive first round exits, the team’s performance in Seattle marked a much-needed step in the right direction heading to Sonoma.

“Our Bandero Café Funny Car team is coming off a good showing in Seattle, and I’m excited to get right back out there this weekend in Sonoma,” said DeJoria. “It’s a great facility, good air, cool conditions, good track surface, and the fans are great. TOP FUEL’S JUSTIN ASHLEY EAGER FOR BIG WEEKEND AT DENSO NHRA SONOMA NATIONALS

SONOMA, CA – Despite a second-round loss last weekend in Seattle, Justin Ashley remains on track to peak at perhaps the perfect time during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, still bringing plenty of momentum into this weekend’s Denso NHRA Sonoma presented by PowerEdge at Sonoma Raceway.

Before that race, Ashley had won back-to-back events in his 12,000-horsepower Scag Power Equipment dragster, advancing to the final round at six of the previous seven races. Ashley still remains red-hot heading to Sonoma, staying in contention for the regular season championship – which nets the winner $150,000 in the nitro ranks – and getting him Countdown to the Championship ready.

He trails Shawn Langdon, who won in impressive fashion in Seattle, by 93 points heading into Sonoma, feeling momentum at a track that has served him well. Ashley won at the spectacular facility in 2023 and would love to add another on a weekend where marquee runs could be plentiful with standout weather expected. Continue reading
