LAS VEGAS, NV – Greg Hunter returns this weekend to the place where he made his first Top Alcohol Dragster start, The Strip at Las
Vegas Motor Speedway. The Strip means even more to the Sheridan, Wyo., resident since he earned his first round win there earlier this year. Now Greg and the ExactAir/Kenny Gilmour Motorsports team plan on notching a few more round wins at the NHRA Big O Tires Nationals.
“We’ve had almost a three month break from racing, so everyone on the ExactAir team is really chomping at the bit to get back to racing. Especially since this is one of the best races on the tour. We have a lot of friends coming down fromCanadaand a few ExactAir customers will be joining us. We’re looking to have a good showing,” Greg said.
Career Bests for Hunter in Seattle

KENT,WA – Though he didn’t reach his goal of a 5.3-second run, Top Alcohol Dragster rookie Greg Hunter came awfully close. His
ExactAir Compliance Systems blown alcohol dragster tripped the finish line beams in 5.40 seconds during qualifying at the Northwest Nationals last weekend.
“Qualifying started out great with that 5.405 at 265 miles per hour. That was a career-best for ET and MPH. The Q2 pass was a bit slower (5.47/258 mph) and we sat out the last session to prepare for first round on Sunday,” Hunter said.
The former TAFC driver came very close to keeping his national event first round win streak going, too. Greg’s #5 qualifying position earned him a first round match with defending event champion Joey Severance. The two drivers left the line together, then Hunter had the lead until half-track. At that point, the supercharger on the ExactAir machine let go, giving Severance the chance to drive around for the round win.

KENT, WA – After a month off of the race track, Greg Hunter and the ExactAir Top Alcohol Dragster team are refreshed and returning
to quarter-mile competition at this weekend’s Northwest Nationals. The northwest native is hoping to keep his national event first round win streak going while trying to go deeper into eliminations.
“Though the entry list is short, it’s still a strong field. Most, if not all of the cars are capable of running 5.3s. We need to step up to that 5.3 range if we want to win races. We were right on the edge of it at Chicago, but a couple parts failures prevented us from running better,” said Hunter.
Greg’s last race was the Route 66 Nationals in Chicago. He qualified 10th with a 5.46 at 263 mph, out-qualifying multiple past national and divisional champions. His .031 light first round helped him earn the win over Dan Page. Second round saw him get the holeshot again, but eventual race winner Jim Whiteley was able to drive around him. Hunter believes the Kenny Gilmour owned and tuned ExactAir car will be throwing down solid runs inSeattle.

MORRISON, CO. – Top Alcohol Dragster rookie Greg Hunter enters just his second NHRA Lucas Oil Series regional
event this weekend at Bandimere Speedway. The former Alcohol Funny Car pilot is adjusting quickly to his position as the driver of the ExactAir/Kenny Gilmour Motorsports Dragster.
“I feel right at home in the car. I absolutely love driving it; it’s a blast. It seems like we’re getting better and better at every race we run at, so hopefully this weekend will bring more positive results,” said Hunter.
The Wyoming resident is expecting to build on recent successful moments in his career, including his first round win at the Las Vegas national event. Crew chief and car owner Kenny Gilmour and his crew have been going over the car, finding any issue that would prevent them from running well.

MISSION, BC – Top Alcohol Dragster rookie Greg Hunter and veteran team owner Kenny Gilmour head to a race in their home country on the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series tour this weekend. The NHRA B.C. Nationals mark the third
race for the new driver-owner combination. Hunter says their car is ready to fly north of the border.
“The guys feel that we’re really close to having the tune-up that will take us to the next level. We found a couple problems after Vegas and fixed them, so the car should run well in Mission,” said the former Top Alcohol Funny Car pilot.
Hunter is hoping to take the ExactAir Compliance Systems blown alcohol dragster just one more round than he did at the Las Vegas national event. His consistent, quick reaction times and solid race car put him into the second round, falling to A/Fueler Garrett Bateman. To go one more round at a regional event would mean his first final round appearance.

LAS VEGAS– After several runs down the quarter mile, former Top Alcohol Funny Car driver Greg Hunter is now a licensed Top Alcohol Dragster driver. He completed crossover licensing requirements at last weekend’s Division 7 race at
Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hunter and the Kenny Gilmour-owned ExactAir Compliance Systems team are now ready to compete at the SummitRacing.com Nationals this weekend at The Strip.
“I am extremely stoked to have my crossover license, to be at Vegas again this weekend on a familiar racetrack. To be racing at a national event for the first time, out here with the pros, I think it’s going to be really exciting. I’m honored to be competing for a spot in the field with some of the top drivers and cars in the country,” claimed Hunter.
Greg crossed the finish line stripe at 250 mph in 5.54 seconds last weekend, enough to complete his licensing requirements. The issues that plagued the car in previous attempts are out of the system. Hunter and the team are expecting a great finish in Vegas.

CHANDLER, AZ– After a long off-season preparing for 2012, Kenny Gilmour Motorsports is ready to take on the competition with new driver Greg Hunter. ExactAir Compliance Systems will be the primary backer of the Calgary,
Alberta, Canada-based Top Alcohol Dragster team.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to join this team,” said Hunter. “It is easy to get excited to drive this car by the enthusiasm and desire to win of everyone on this team. They truly have what it takes to field a competitive car and I think I will learn a lot from this group. My wife, Staci, and I are looking forward to the first race inPhoenix!”
Greg Hunter has been racing down the quarter-mile since 1994, first with a stock Ford Mustang GT. His desire for speed moved him up to a Super Comp dragster, which he drove for several years with great success. Hunter attended Frank Hawley’sDragRacingSchoolin 2003, where he earned his Top Alcohol Funny Car license. This prompted Greg to build a Ford Mustang Top Alcohol Funny Car, powered by a Boss Ford engine. 2012 is Greg Hunter’s first year in Top Alcohol Dragster competition.
