JUSTIN ASHLEY AND SCAG TOYOTA TEAM GEAR UP FOR NHRA ARIZONA NATIONALS
CHANDLER, AZ – Top Fuel standout Justin Ashley and his SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster team are ready to ignite the
desert as they head into the 40th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals at Firebird Motorsports Park.
Ashley, the 2020 NHRA Rookie of the Year, enters the weekend with confidence after reaching the final round at Firebird in 2024, where he fell just short against Shawn Langdon. With a win at the Arizona Nationals in 2023 Ashley will be looking to pilot his 11,000-horsepower SCAG Toyota machine to his third consecutive final round at the Arizona Nationals.
“What excites me most about returning to Phoenix is the opportunity to continue making laps on this race car. Mike [Green], Tommy [DeLago], and the team worked hard over the last few months to make the necessary changes required for increased performance. The more laps we make, the more data we receive, the better we become,” Ashley said. “We’ve had a lot of success at Firebird Motorsports Park in the past and are fully positioned to do the same this weekend. It’s our goal to go just one round further than last season and park our SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster in the winners circle.” Continue reading
SCAG RACING CLOSES OUT NHRA SEASON OPENER AT GAINESVILLE RACEWAY
GAINESVILLE, FL – The 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season officially kicked off this weekend with the Amalie Motor Oil
NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway. Daniel Wilkerson, driver of the SCAG Power Equipment Ford Mustang Funny Car and Justin Ashley who pilots the SCAG Toyota Top Fuel dragster each had first round exits while Dave Richards and the BlueBird / Versatran team fell victim to Mother Nature’s rain out of Saturday qualifying.
Wilkerson and his SCAG Mustang secured the No. 5 qualifying spot after a 3.901-second pass at 325.45 mph on Friday. Their efforts matched them with No. 12 qualifier Buddy Hull in the first round. Wilkerson would leave the starting line first but both Funny Cars would have tire smoke forcing the drivers to pedal their way to the finish line. Hull would get there first with a 4.048 elapsed time at 313.37 to defeat Wilkerson’s 4.177 at 322.88.
JUSTIN ASHELY AND SCAG TOYOTA TAKING ON 2X WORLD CHAMPION IN TOP FUEL ALL STAR CALLOUT
GAINESVILLE, FL – Justin Ashely, driver of the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster, will take on two-time world champion
Brittany Force in the opening round of the Right Trailers Top Fuel All Star Callout.
Eight of the best Top Fuel dragster pilots qualified for the specialty Top Fuel race taking place at Gainesville Raceway this weekend during the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Ashley was the No. 4 seed and by the luck of the draw was matched with Force.
“This weekend in particular is probably one of my favorites because you have the start of the season and the Top Fuel Callout. There’s a level of unpredictability there. I didn’t get to call someone out and wasn’t called out either, so it ended up Brittany Force and I,” Ashley said. “Super excited for the opportunity to race her, she’s the two-time champ for a reason. I think we’ll bring out the best in each other both as drivers and as teams. We’re going to both be eager to turn on win lights, that’s for sure.” Continue reading

Finals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip with Daniel Wilkerson’s quarterfinal exit and No. 7 points finish, Justin Ashley’s third place finish and Dave Richards’ 12th place finish.

Wilkerson started the day from the No. 12 position off a 3.903-second pass at 308.92 mph. His first round opponent was fellow Ford Mustang driver Bob Tasca III. Tasca would smoke the tires and pedal his Mustang to a 5.774 pass at 125.85 and watch Wilkerson drive off to a 3.910 at 333.08.
“For some reason I was insanely emotional this morning. I cried like a little baby during the anthem. I think the gravity of this being the last one of the year just kind of hit me all at once,” said Wilkerson who walks away from the 2024 season seventh in points. “I cannot believe the friendships I have made this season with new teammates, our PR team, Metalcraft of Mayville employees, SCAG dealers and distributors. This program is truly amazing for so many reasons beyond drag racing and our on track performance. I’m proud to be a part of it and I can’t wait to keep doing it for a long time to come. Finals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, the final race of the 2024 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season, sitting in the Top Fuel points lead.

JUSTIN ASHLEY AND SCAG TOYOTA LOOKING TO PAD POINTS LEAD AT THE STRIP AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
LAS VEGAS – Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster team enter this weekend’s Ford Performance NHRA
Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the fifth of six races in the NHRA Countdown to the Championship, holding onto the Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series Top Fuel points lead by 44.
Ashley is coming off a victory at the Texas NHRA FallNationals that took him from a 34-point deficit to the lead. It was his fourth win of the season, a career best for the second-generation racer. Ashley started the Countdown to the Championship, NHRA’s six race playoffs, with a No. 1 qualifier and semifinal finish at the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals in Reading, Pennsylvania that put him in the points lead by just one over Antron Brown but a No. 4 qualifier and second round exit at the Carolina Nationals, coupled with Brown winning the event, shifted Ashley to second. Ashley maintained his No. 2 standing with a semifinal finish at the NHRA Midwest Nationals before taking the lead in Texas.
“I am sure there will be a heightened level of intensity in Las Vegas because of the championship implications. Everyone understands that there are only a handful of opportunities left to gain points,” Ashley said. “But that shouldn’t change our approach. We are in this position for a reason. It’s all about being our best both on and off the racetrack. The rest will take care of itself.” Continue reading
