JOSH HART ON DUAL MISSION HEADED TO BRISTOL DRAGWAY

OCALA, FL – Josh Hart is a businessman and team owner that is always in motion. Whether it is overseeing his growing business, Burnyzz Speed Shop, in Ocala, Florida with his wife Brittanie, or running 330 mph in the TechNet R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster in the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. This weekend at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, Hart will showcase his multi-tasking skills racing Top Fuel and his Dodge Challenger Drag Pak in the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown class while also promoting Burnyzz Speed Shop with a midway display. Additionally, Hart will be spending time with fans at free autograph appearances before and during the race.

“I don’t know if I could pack more into this weekend,” said Hart, from the Burnyzzz Speed Shop office. “We raced in Epping last weekend and I flew home right after the race. I have been at Burnyzz and we’ll head to Bristol in a couple days. I spent some time with my family, and we’ll be off again before we know it. Sometimes it seems like a lot, but I also know I am blessed to be able to pursue all these passions. There is no way I could do this without the support of my wife, Brittanie, and three great teams; the team at Burnyzz, my Top Fuel team and the guys at DHDR on the Flexjet side.” Continue reading

HART LEAVES NEW ENGLAND FOCUSED ON BREAKOUT IN BRISTOL

EPPING, NH – For the first time in five races Josh Hart and the TechNet Top Fuel dragster team did not advance out of the first round of NHRA competition. Through two days of qualifying at the 12th NHRA New England Nationals, Hart and his TechNet Top Fuel team made four passes culminating in a solid 3.753 second pass at 329.18 mph last night in the final session to move into race day as the No. 10 qualifier. At the end of the day the team found an issue with their fuel system forcing them to stay late and replace the complete system on their 12,000-horsepower Top Fuel dragster. With a new fuel system, the team was confident heading into the first round match-up against No. 7 qualifier Justin Ashley.

“My guys put the time in last night replacing the fuel system,” said Hart. “We thought there was something going on but it took a few rounds to get to the bottom of it. After that last run we saw it was a problem with the fuel and we had to replace the entire fuel system. I can’t thank this team enough for how hard they work every race. There is no quit in this TechNet R+L Carriers pit.”

Hart and Ashley were the final pair of Top Fuel dragsters to run in the first session that was littered with track elapsed time and speed records in the races leading up to their race. Hart who gave up lane choice to the higher seeded Ashley was relegated to the left lane that prior to his run only saw one win light flash on when Dan Mercier upset Shawn Langdon in the second pair. Unfortunately for Hart and the TechNet team his Top Fuel dragster overpowered the track and Ashley cruised to the first round win in the right lane. Continue reading

Josh Hart Looking to Improve on Race Day Consistency in Epping

OCALA, FL – Over the past four NHRA national events, dating back to the Winternationals in late March, Josh Hart is one of only two Top Fuel competitors to advance out of the first round at every race. That four-race streak will be put to the test this weekend when the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series heads to the northeast for the NHRA New England Nationals at New England Dragway. The R+L Carriers Top Fuel team will be making their fourth attempt to race to the winner’s circle at one of the most historic tracks on the circuit. Hart has enjoyed success in the Top Alcohol Dragster ranks racing to three consecutive final rounds in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series winning at the track located just north of Boston in 2017 and 2019

“New England Dragway has been around for a long time, and we have had some success there with my Top Alcohol Dragster. I have only raced there three times with my Top Fuel operation, and we are looking to get back into the winner’s circle,” said Hart, a multi-time Top Fuel national event winner. “It is a smaller venue, but the fans up there are super passionate about their drag racing. We have been making some good runs, and the temperatures should be cooler. We have found a solid cooler track temperature tune up so hopefully we will be able to put it to good use.” Continue reading

HART CONTINUES TO IMPROVE WITH ANOTHER QUARTERFINAL FINISH

CHICAGO – For the fourth consecutive NHRA national event Josh Hart and the R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster team raced to the quarterfinals. Today at the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 Nationals Hart, who qualified No. 8, ousted veteran driver Clay Millican in the first round before bowing out to Doug Kalitta in the quarterfinals. After two days of qualifying Hart was confident his team was moving in the right direction, earning qualifying bonus points and positive quick runs throughout the weekend.

“You want to come off the trailer and make quick runs so you don’t get behind the eightball,” said Hart, a multi-time Top Fuel national event winner. “The weather conditions have been all over the place at Route 66 Raceway. On Friday we were one of only a couple teams to make back-to-back runs in the 3.80s and we started building on that.”

Hart Ready to Continue Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Improvement in Chicago

OCALA, FL – The Burnyzz Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Dodge Challenger and driver Josh Hart will be back in action this weekend at the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals. Three weeks ago, Hart raced in his first four-wide race behind the wheel of the black and flamed Dodge Challenger and the newcomer to the small wheel, door-slammer class is ready to continue to tackle a new class. Reaching speeds over 170 mph in just under eight seconds, the factory stock race car is a new experience for Hart, who normally exceeds that speed in just over one second in his R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster.

“It has been a lot of fun so far this season, but we have only had two races and one of those was impacted by rain,” said Hart, who has won in variety of NHRA classes throughout his career. “When this Burnyzz Dodge hooks up and takes off it is a fun ride for sure. David Davies and his DHDR team have been a huge help on the learning curve. I am looking forward to this weekend and continuing to get better. I love the challenge.”

Hart has owned the Dodge Challenger he will be campaigning this weekend since the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series was announced over five years ago. Over the offseason Hart and Davies, a veteran of the factory stock class, talked about how they could work together to get Hart behind the wheel in one of the most competitive door-slammer classes in the NHRA. JOSH HART RACES TO SECOND ROUND OF AMERICAN REBEL LIGHT NHRA FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS

CONCORD, NC – The American Rebel Light NHRA Four-Wide Nationals wrapped up today at zMax Dragway with Josh Hart and the R+L Carriers Top Fuel team racing to the second round and moving closer to locking down a hot weather tune-up. Hart made consistently quick runs on Friday with cool temperatures and when the weather warmed up on Saturday and Sunday Hart’s team of crew chiefs got busy working on a solid performance package for the championship contending team.

Hart raced to the final quad on Saturday during the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge picking up championship points as well as bonus money. In the first round Hart out raced Shawn Reed and Clay Millican to advance to the Mission Challenge final quad with Antron Brown. In the final quad which was also the final qualifying session Hart was securely in the field racing Brown, Doug Kalitta and Steve Torrence. He came up short of the victory but got valuable data to head into race day on a warmer track.

“The Mission Challenge is a great event to have especially when conditions change during qualifying,” said Hart, a multi-time Top Fuel champion. “The crew gets into race mode and it helps me as a driver too. We are working on a set up for tracks that are 120 degrees so the more runs we can make the better.” Continue reading

Josh Hart Eager to Take on Flexjet Factory Stock in Charlotte

OCALA, FL – Josh Hart has built his professional and motorsports career on overcoming obstacles with a positive attitude and a never give up mindset. His debut Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown national event driving the Burnyzz Speed Shop Dodge Challenger was a lesson in turning a negative into a positive. The first race of the season, the NHRA Gatornationals, was heavily impacted by weather and his team’s limited time preparing for the race was a perfect storm of frustration and missed opportunity. However, the business owner from Ocala, Florida, who teamed up with David H. Davis Racing (DHDR) to field the factory stock entry has already put that event behind him as he focuses on this weekend’s American Rebel Light Four-Wide Nationals at zMax Dragway.

“I don’t even look at the Gatornationals as a race honestly,” said Hart, who has competed in a variety of classes in the NHRA. “I am focusing on this weekend’s Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals as my real debut. This Burnyzz Speed Shop Dodge Challenger never really got a good opportunity in Florida with the rain. I am really looking forward to this weekend.”

The plan came together quickly after the first of the year and DHDR has contributed mightily to getting Hart’s operation ready. Continue reading

Josh Hart Eyes Continued Four-Wide Nationals Improvement

OCALA, FL – The Four-Wide Nationals format has been a tricky transition for several teams since it was introduced at zMax Dragway over a decade ago. For Josh Hart, driver and owner of the R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster team, the move from racing one competitor to three opponents at one time has been a positive work in progress. He has raced to the final quad a number of times but has yet to turn on three win lights. This weekend Hart will be looking for his first four-wide win and second win at zMax Dragway when the American Rebel Light Four-Wide Nationals gets underway with two qualifying sessions on Friday, April 25.

“We have had success at zMax Dragway and our R+L Carriers team is moving in the right direction,” said Hart, a multi-time Top Fuel national event winner. “Las Vegas was a hot track and we have seen every kind of track conditions this season. I talked to my crew chiefs after the race and we feel like we have a tune up that can be competitive this weekend. I am looking forward to getting back out there.”

JOSH HART TAKES R+L CARRIERS TO SECOND ROUND OF VEGAS FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS

LAS VEGAS – The first four-wide race of the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series threw a number of curveballs at every Top Fuel dragster but Josh Hart and the R+L Carriers Top Fuel team made the best of a tough situation. After stellar conditions at the Winternationals two weeks ago provided Hart’s team the opportunity to run some near record quick passes, extreme heat and wind this weekend challenged his crew chief trio of Ron Douglas, Jason McCulloch and Joe Barlam. Following two days of qualifying Hart entered race day as the No. 10 qualifier and was slotted in a quad that included Shawn Reed, Brittany Force and Terry Totten.

In the first round Hart jumped off the starting line and got the R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster out in front where he was second to the finish line behind Reed. It was a close win in front of Force and advanced Hart to the second round for the second race in a row. The win also provides Hart the chance to once again participate in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge in two weeks at zMax Dragway racing for $10,000 and championship points on the line.

“I was glad to get that first round win today,” said Hart, a multi-time Top Fuel national event winner. “That was a tough quad with Shawn who I was in the final with at the PRO Superstar Shootout and you can’t discount the Force team. We held on just enough to get the win.” Continue reading
