Red Line Oil Expands to Primary Sponsor Role for Doug Foley, Foley Lewis Racing at U.S. Nationals

BROWNSBURG, IN – Red Line Synthetic Oil, a leading supplier of synthetic lubricants and additives, is expanding its partnership with NHRA Top Fuel driver Doug Foley, Foley Lewis Racing announced today. Red Line Oil will serve as the primary sponsor on Foley’s Doug Kuch-tuned dragster at the prestigious NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, Sept. 2-6.

“Running Red Line Oil was a must when I decided to get back into Top Fuel racing this season,” said Foley, who returned to NHRA Top Fuel in February after a 10-year hiatus. “It’s been great to have this partnership with Red Line all year, and to now have them on board as our primary sponsor at the biggest race of the year means a lot.”

Championship teams in the NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car ranks rely on Red Line’s 70WT Nitro Drag Race Oil to protect engine components during the harsh conditions of 3-second runs at well over 300 mph.

Red Line’s unmistakable branding will appear on the Foley Lewis Racing dragster alongside the team’s other major sponsor, Strutmasters.com.

Foley Lewis Racing Announces Return to NHRA Top Fuel

Todd Paton to drive at NHRA Carolina Nationals ahead of Foley’s license renewal

MOORESVILLE, NC – Ten years after last competing as a team in NHRA Top Fuel competition, racing partners Doug Foley and Tim Lewis announced today their upcoming return to the NHRA’s quickest and fastest class.

Foley Lewis Racing will make its 2019 debut at the NTK NHRA Carolina Nationals, Oct. 11-13 at zMAX Dragway. The car will be driven by Todd Paton, and Foley will renew his Top Fuel license on Monday after the race.

“We’re excited to be back out there,” said Foley, who last drove a Top Fuel dragster in 2011. “It’s honestly not an opportunity we ever really thought about. It’s not like we sat there for 10 years waiting to go Top Fuel racing again. It was just something that we discussed early this year, and we’ve worked since then to get a program together. We’ve had a lot of great fans through the years and we’re excited to see them starting in Charlotte and next season.”

Foley returned to racing in Top Alcohol Dragster last season after selling his successful drag racing experience business in 2017. He was preparing for a full season in Top Alcohol Dragster earlier this year when he and Lewis decided to try Top Fuel again.
