AARON STANFIELD AND JHG / MELLING WIN #2FAST2TASTY CHALLENGE AT BRISTOL DRAGWAY
BRISTOL, TN– Aaron Stanfield and the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / Janac Brother’s Racing team won their
first Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge of the season during Saturday qualifying at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway.
In the final round, Stanfield handled the JHG / Melling machine to a 6.688-second pass at 204.85 mph and with a .10-second reaction time was able to take down Matt Hartford on a holeshot by just four ten-thousandths (0.0004) of a second. Stanfield needed every bit of his starting line advantage with Hartford running a 6.685 pass at 203.55 with a .013 reaction time.
“It feels good. This is the first thing I’ve won all year, but that was a really good race against Matt there. I could see him coming out the side of my door and it definitely looked close enough, where I had no idea who won. Probably the tightest race I’ve had in Pro Stock,” Stanfield said. “When the guys got down there to pick me up, it looked like we won the whole race, you see the excitement and, of course, it makes me excited too. We’re close enough to do some damage here. We’ve had really good runs and a great race car this weekend. I’m very excited and very blessed.” Continue reading
SIX-TIME PRO STOCK CHAMP ERICA ENDERS HOPES TO BOUNCE BACK AT SUPER GRIP NHRA THUNDER VALLEY NATIONALS
BRISTOL, TN – After a tough start to the 2025 season, six-time Pro Stock champion Erica Enders hopes to continue her momentum from last
week’s race in Epping at this weekend’s 24th annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway.
Enders is not only a six-time Pro Stock world champion, but she is also the winningest female across all of motorsports, with 49 wins to her lengthy list of accomplishments. However, she hasn’t visited the winner’s circle since the 2024 season opener in Gainesville. After finishing runner-up last weekend in Epping to her longtime rival and reigning world champ Greg Anderson, Enders is confident the Elite Motorsports camp has turned a performance corner with her Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage/Melling Performance/Scag Power Equipment car.
“We worked nonstop,” Enders said. “We made some substantial changes and spent a lot of time on the dyno. We applied everything we learned at the shop to the track during some testing at Tulsa. Pro Stock is not for the weak. It’s competitive problem-solving and we take a lot of pride in how well we work together, accomplishing things legitimately. We may be down now but they will not keep us down forever.” Continue reading
ELITE MOTORSPORTS AND JEG COUGHLIN JR. AIM TO REPEAT VICTORY AT NHRA THUNDER VALLEY NATIONALS
BRISTOL, TN – Jeg Coughlin Jr. and the SCAG Power Equipment / Outlaw Light Beer Pro Stock team have their sights set on defending their
2024 victory at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway. A back-to-back win would mean a fourth consecutive winners circle for Elite Motorsports.
“It is always a treat to pull through the gates at Bristol Dragway and even more exciting as the returning champion,” Jeg Jr. said. “We’ve been fortunate to make many memories at Thunder Valley, and this year should be no exception.”
In addition to his 2024 victory where he raced past teammates Troy Coughlin Jr. and Erica Enders before taking down now reigning world champion Greg Anderson in the finals, Jeg Jr. had wins at Bristol Dragway in 2018 and 2007. He was also the No. 1 qualifier in 2017 and 2007. Continue reading
ERICA ENDERS’ RUNNER-UP FINISH LED ELITE MOTORSPORTS AT NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY
EPPING, NH – Erica Enders and the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / SCAG Power Equipment team made their first
final round appearance of the season Sunday at the NHRA New England Dragway at New England Dragway.
Enders, in the 83rd final round of her career, faced off with Greg Anderson for the 59th time, 13th time in a final round. The JHG / Melling machine knocked the tires off almost immediately forcing Enders to coast to a 19.498-second pass at 41.79 mph and watch Anderson cross the finish line with a track record pass of 6.469 at 212.19 for the win.
“We did decent during qualifying, but Sunday was a different story. We made a good run first round, and it went downhill from there,” Enders said. “I’m ecstatic about our final round appearance but we didn’t get there the way we should have. I’ve spent my entire life doing this and there have been a ton of races we should have won but didn’t. On the other side of that we have won many that we shouldn’t have. Today was one of those days.” Continue reading

ELITE MOTORSPORTS GEARS UP FOR NHRA FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS AT ZMAX DRAGWAY
CONCORD, NC – Elite Motorsports is ready to tackle the American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway, the fifth event of
the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.
The spring Four-Wide event at zMAX is special for the Cuadra family. In 2024, the four Cuadras—Fernando Sr., Fernando Jr., David, and Cristian—lined up together for the final time in a historic moment, racing side-by-side in the four-wide format during qualifying. That weekend was particularly poignant as it coincided with Fernando Sr., David and Cristian’s birthdays and marked Fernando Sr.’s retirement from both racing and the family business, passing the torch to his three sons, who have since taken over leadership of the Cuadra enterprise.
Coming off a quarterfinal finish at the Las Vegas Four-Wide event, Cristian is hoping to improve on a semifinal finish from 2024 and capture the Cuadra family’s first professional NHRA victory.
“I have really high hopes for Charlotte. The team has been working really hard and did more testing after Vegas. Hopefully that pays off,” Cristian said. “Of course, it’s also my birthday, wo I want to win. I’m really excited. I did well at the Four-Wide at zMAX last year, went to the final quad, so hopefully we can repeat, get to the finals and win it.” Continue reading

LAS VEGAS – Elite Motorsports, NHRA’s powerhouse Pro Stock team, is set to take on the unique challenge of the NHRA Four-Wide
Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. As the team rolls into the fourth event of the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, Erica Enders and Jeg Coughlin Jr. are hoping past success at the facility foreshadow a big payout this weekend.

The six-time world champion is chasing her 50th national event win, a milestone that would further cement her legacy as the most successful female driver in motorsports history.
“Vegas has always been good to us in the past and we love racing there,” said Enders who is 12th in points after three first round losses. “Through three races, it’s obvious we have something serious going on and we are continuing to work on the problem. It’s why we took the time to go testing, we tried some new things and collected some data. We have been through worse, and we will get through this. Unfortunately, it’s just going to take time.” Continue reading
