ELITE MOTORSPORTS’ JEG COUGHLIN JR. AND ERICA ENDERS READY TO LIGHT UP NIGHT UNDER FIRE

NORWALK, OH – Elite Motorsports Pro Stock stars Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Erica Enders are set to participate in this weekend’s highly anticipated Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The fan-favorite event draws tens of thousands of spectators and is known for its thrilling racing, vibrant atmosphere, and spectacular post-race fireworks.

Six-time Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders and her Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / SCAG Power Equipment team are no strangers to Norwalk’s electric atmosphere. Enders has won the NHRA National event at the facility three times in 2014 and back-to-back in 2021 and 2022.

“We are looking forward to heading back to Norwalk, as it’s one of my favorite places to race,” Enders said. “From hospitality to racetrack condition, the Bader family always knocks it out of the park. GREG STANFIELD WINS NHRA SONOMA NATIONALS OVER SON AARON STANFIELD

SONOMA, CA – Greg Stanfield and his Janac Brothers Racing / The Rod Shop team rallied to Elite Motorsport’s first victory of the season Sunday at the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals at Sonoma Raceway.

In his first final round appearance since returning to Pro Stock competition, Greg lined his Janac Brothers / The Rod Shop Pro Stock machine up against his son Aaron Stanfield’s Johnsons Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / Janac Brothers hot rod. Aaron would leave the starting line first with a .016-second reaction time to Greg’s .030. Greg would chase Aaron down in a tight side-by-side drag race. Ultimately, Greg’s 6.552-second pass at 211.49 mph bettered Aaron’s 6.568 at 209.39.

“I’m in shock right now. I can’t believe that just happened. I’m just trying to soak it in. Obviously, this is something we’ve both dreamed about, to be able to race Aaron in the finals, it’s incredible and then to win. I’m blessed and honored to be able to have this opportunity to race with him, I can’t describe it,” said Stanfield “To have Aaron in the finals with me makes it even better. A lot of credit goes to him, he tunes my engine, the Elite guys and all the people who support us, Janac Brothers, The Rod Shop, they supported me from the beginning and to have them back on the side of my car, just means a lot.” Continue reading

ELITE MOTORSPORTS LOOKS TO CLOSE OUT ‘WESTERN SWING’ ON A POSITIVE NOTE AT SONOMA NATIONALS

SONOMA, CA – The Elite Motorsports camp enters this weekend’s Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals at Sonoma Raceway with high expectations as they chase the team’s first victory of the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season.

Aaron Stanfield and the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / Janac Brothers Racing team return to Sonoma Raceway as the defending event champions. Stanfield, currently sixth in points has made three semifinal appearances this season at the Arizona Nationals, New England Nationals and Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tennessee. He also had a quarterfinal exit at the event in Norwalk, Ohio. The JHG / Melling team is coming off a first-round exit to teammate Troy Coughlin Jr. after qualifying No. 7 at the Northwest Nationals just outside of Seattle. Stanfield is looking for his third win at the facility, in addition to 2024, he also celebrated in the winners circle in 2021.

Greg Stanfield, Aaron’s father, and the Janac Brothers / The Rod Shop team are coming off a semifinal appearance at the NHRA Northwest Nationals. It was Greg’s first semifinal since returning to Pro Stock competition. His last semifinal was in 2013. The drag racing veteran has had two consecutive races qualifying in the top five. Currently 10th in points Stanfield will compete in his first Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge where he’ll have a rematch against his semifinal opponent and a chance at championship bonus points and a cash prize. JEG COUGHLIN JR. AND SCAG TEAM TAKE ELITE MOTORSPORTS TO RUNNER-UP FINISH AT NHRA NORTHWEST NATIONALS

KENT, WA – Jeg Coughlin Jr. and the SCAG Power Equipment / Outlaw Light Beer team made their first final round appearance of the season Sunday at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways just outside Seattle.

Racing against rival and local racer Dallas Glenn in the finals, Jeg Jr. handed the victory over on the starting line when he was -.009 seconds red on the Christmas tree. Both Jeg Jr. and Glenn smoked the tires almost immediately at the step. Glenn picked up the win coasting to a 17.420-second pass at 62.72 mph.

“There’s only one guy here leaving the track happier than I am and that’s Dallas Glenn,” Jeg Jr. said. “It was misfortune, I turned it red in the final by nine-thousandths of a second which I’m still a little shocked at. I had a really good rhythm going all day and I felt real good behind the wheel and was feeling equally ready for the final round there. ELITE MOTORSPORTS EXITS OHIO WITH PAIR OF QUARTERFINAL FINISHES

NORWALK, OH – Elite Motorsports closed out the first half of the Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series schedule Sunday at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park. Aaron Stanfield in the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance car and his father, Greg Stanfield who drives the Janac Brothers Racing / The Rod Shop machine, each made quarterfinal appearances to lead the five car Elite Motorsports stable.

Aaron, who qualified No. 8, started race day with a first-round victory against teammate and six-time world champion Erica Enders in her JHG / Melling / SCAG Power Equipment Camaro. Aaron left the starting line first with a .028 reaction time and 6.633-second pass at 206.45 mph that was enough to take down Enders .053 reaction time, 6.619 pass at 206.04 on a holeshot.

In the second round, Aaron faced off with six-time world champion and team rival Greg Anderson. Aaron had the advantage from the start but was chased down by Anderson who got the win at the stripe. Aaron ran 6.594 seconds at 207.94 mph while Anderson had a 6.594 pass at 207.27. Continue reading

ELITE MOTORSPORTS SENDS A PAIR TO SEMIFINALS AT THUNDER VALLEY NATIONALS

BRISTOL, TN – Aaron Stanfield and David Cuadra rallied to semifinal finishes for Elite Motorsports Sunday at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway.

Stanfield and the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / Janac Brother’s Racing team started race day from the No. 4 qualifying spot thanks to a 6.666-second pass at 204.08 mph. After winning the Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday, Stanfield opened eliminations with a victory against Mason McGaha. The JHG / Melling machine laid down a 6.676-second run at 204.70 mph to defeat McGaha’s 6.749 at 204.88.

In the second round, Stanfield squared off against Cody Coughlin who had trouble from the start coasting to 18.279-seconds at 43.53 mph while Stanfield made a clean 6.709 pass at 204.17 to face rival Dallas Glenn in the18th semifinal round of his career. Continue reading
