D H Davies Racing and Josh Hart Start Collaborative Racing Effort

CLEVELAND – D H Davies Racing, led by Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown team owner and driver David Davies, and Josh Hart, driver of the R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster and owner of Burnyzz Speed Shop in Ocala, Florida, solidified a racing relationship prior to the NHRA Gatornationals. The relationship will center around Hart’s move into the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series under the DHDR umbrella as well as Davies’ interest in developing racing opportunities in other classes.

“Josh and I have been talking about building a racing relationship since the end of last season,” said Davies. “He is a life-long Dodge guy who bought a Factory Stock Dodge Challenger when they were first released but never raced it. I suggested he give it a go in 2025 with the support of DHDR and I am excited about that opportunity. We have also talked about some other racing endeavors for the future but right now we are focusing on the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series.”

Hart’s first outing in the Burnyzz Speed Shop Dodge Challenger was hampered by the inclement weather at the Gatornationals but Hart is looking forward to the Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals to make a more representative debut. The seasoned Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Fuel Dragster driver quickly adapted to his Factory Stock race car, but additional laps will make all the difference in Charlotte. He is also looking forward to picking up more tips from Davies and the DHDR racing operation. Continue reading

Davies Brings New Sponsor and Passion to Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Opener

GAINESVILLE, FL – One of the most exciting classes on the NHRA tour will hit the track this weekend starting their ten-race series of Chevrolet COPOs, Dodge Drag Paks and Ford Cobra Jets battling it out for manufacturer supremacy in the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series. David Davies III will be racing in the series for the third year in a row wheeling a new-look Dodge Challenger with Mission 22, a national non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness and combat the issue of veteran suicide, as the primary brand on his race car. Davies, a US Air Force Veteran, has offered space on his Dodge Challenger throughout his career to veteran organizations.

“I am looking forward to getting the season started on the race track of course because it has been a long off-season and I love to race this class but I am equally excited to get the word out about Mission 22,” said Davies. “It breaks my heart that according to the Department of Veterans Affairs 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide every day. These men and women served our country with pride and I want to let them know they are seen, appreciated and if they need help Mission 22 will be there for them.”

DHDR Developmental Driver Madi Turley Takes First Victory in Bristol

BRISTOL, TN – Less than a year into the DH Davies Racing Developmental Driver program 16-year-old Madi Turley secured her first win last Saturday Bristol Dragway at the Street Car Takeover, where she won the Women & Wheels class. Turley drove her Dodge Challenger R/T to victory after two qualifying runs and three rounds of eliminations. The young driver from Rutledge, Tennessee almost didn’t attend the event since they had just received the car back from Mass Acceleration Motorsports in North Carolina, where her car got tune-up with HP Tuners software.

“We had the car getting tuned up in North Carolina and had just gotten it back right before the Bristol race. We had canceled all our plans but then we decided to just see what could happen,” said Turley. “I love racing at Bristol Dragway. It is my home track. I got my NHRA license there and we were just at the Thunder Valley Nationals earlier this year so we took a chance.”

Turley who races with the support of her father Mark and mother Kennetha was also joined by her brother Josh and sister-in-law Leva at the track. The family celebrated in the winner’s circle and Turley was ecstatic to be able to have her family with her for her first win.
