CARUSO LOOKING TO ADD TO LEGACY AT NORWALK NATIONALS
DENVER, NC – As Pro Stock competitor Camrie Caruso’s rookie season speeds towards the halfway mark the 24-year-old driver is looking
forward to racing at a track where she has enjoyed early career success. Summit Motorsports Park has been the scene of Caruso Family Racing victory celebrations in a variety of classes that all led up to Caruso’s head-turning Pro Stock rookie success. The rookie of the year contender will be racing the Kings of Vapor Chevrolet Camaro representing the 10-year-old large brick and mortar retail chain, with a complete online store as well, that prides itself on customer service. As a vapor store, not a tobacco shop, they stock a wide selection of vapes, juice, and accessories.
“I have raced at Norwalk a bunch and I am excited to have Kings of Vapor on my Camaro this weekend,” said Caruso. “I won there in Top Alcohol Dragster and I have raced my 632 car there. My dad has won there in Pro Mod so I really enjoy Norwalk. The fans have always been great and I am looking forward to racing my Kings of Vapor Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock car this weekend.”
Through seven races this season Caruso has qualified for every national event and her qualifying efforts have landed her in the top half of the field every race except for a No. 9 start during the Las Vegas Four-Wide Nationals. She earned her first career No. 1 qualifier at the SpringNationals in Houston, just her fifth professional race, and that same weekend she raced to her first career final round. Last weekend at the Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tennessee, Caruso had one of the quickest cars on the property qualifying No. 2 and racing to the quarterfinals.
CARUSO EAGER TO HEAD TO HISTORIC THUNDER VALLEY DRAGWAY
DENVER, NC – Six races into her rookie season behind the wheel of the Sand Haulers of America Chevrolet Camaro Camrie Caruso has
established herself as not just the front-runner for NHRA rookie of the year but as a legitimate threat in the NHRA Countdown. The third-generation driver who currently resides in Denver, North Carolina, has raced to a final round, qualified No. 1, defeated world champions and qualified for every race she has entered. Anyone one of these accomplishments alone would be impressive but the 24-year-old driver has taken her early season success in stride and continues to pursue her dream.
“Even before the season started, I said my goals were to win races and win the Pro Stock world championship,” said Caruso. “I know people thought I was crazy but that is what I believe. I have a great team with Jim Yates, Titan Racing Engines and so many sponsors. This team is all I think about and work on. I have a lot of support from my family especially, my dad and Papa Joe (grandfather) so racing on Father’s Day weekend will be really cool.”
Caruso started the season qualifying for the Winternationals and in just her second career Pro Stock race she picked up her first round win. Three races later at the SpringNationals in Houston Caruso turned every head in the NHRA when she raced to her first career No. 1 qualifier and then proceeded to take out two former world champions Bo Butner and Greg Anderson on the way to her first final round against Erica Enders. It was a historic match-up pitting two female Pro Stock drivers together for the first time. The weight of the moment did not phase Caruso who despite losing fifth gear nearly upset the multi-time champion.
Vibrant Performance Added to Caruso Family Racing
DENVER, NC – Over the break in the NHRA Pro Stock schedule rookie driver Camrie Caruso was not sitting idly by on the sidelines. The
front-runner for NHRA Rookie of the Year honors added Vibrant Performance, a leader in the supply of exhaust, air/fluid delivery, and motion and vibration control components which is a division of Vibrant Power, to her ever expanding list of major associate sponsors. Vibrant Performance’s branding debuted on Caruso’s Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock race car at the NHRA New England Nationals, June 3-5 at New England Dragway and will ride with the Pro Stock team for the rest of the season.
“We have been talking with Vibrant Performance for a while and with our Titan Racing Engine program this was a natural fit,” said Caruso, who raced to her first career final round in Houston. “This business is about making good B2B connections and promoting companies that are solving problems. The stress we put our Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock race car under on a 210 mph run highlights the need for quality and dependable components.”
Headquartered in Canada but with operations in the United States and Australia, Vibrant Power and Vibrant Performance have played a valuable role in supporting the needs of clients from across the world who have come to depend on their technical expertise, diversified production capabilities, and unparalleled service. Vibrant Performance prides itself on being able to solve virtually any customer problem. They boast an extensive, diverse, and global supply chain, allowing virtually unlimited access to manufacturing resources and the ability to meet customer requirements reliably and cost-effectively.
Sand Haulers of America Extends Relationship with Camrie Caruso adding Epping and Bristol
DENVER, NC – After a breakout weekend in Houston at the NHRA SpringNationals Sand Haulers of America has extended their primary
sponsorship relationship with rookie sensation Camrie Caruso to include the New England Nationals in Epping, New Hampshire and the Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tennessee. The first-year Pro Stock driver from Denver, North Carolina, raced to her first career No. 1 qualifier and then reached her first finals round in Houston backed by Sand Haulers of America as well as a host of associate sponsors including GESI, Titan Racing Engines, Right Trailers, PowerBuilt Tools, VP Racing Lubricants, and NGK Spark Plugs. She will be looking for her first career win when the Sand Haulers of America Chevrolet Camaro rolls in New England Dragway the first weekend of June.
“Houston was an amazing race, but we want more success. We appreciate Sand Haulers of America stepping up on our Chevrolet Camaro for Epping and Bristol,” said Caruso, who also has two quarterfinal finishes this season. “Everyone from Sand Haulers of America has been great to work with and I can’t thank Brandon Foster enough for the support in helping our team keep chasing our dream of an NHRA Pro Stock world championship. I said it before the Houston national event that there are a lot of fans and people throughout the NHRA that could benefit from working with Sand Haulers of America either as a customer or a driver.”
FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS LATEST CHALLENGE FOR PRO STOCK ROOKIE CAMRIE CARUSO
LAS VEGAS – Every driver’s rookie year is full of ups and downs. Every track presents challenges and opportunities. This weekend at the
NHRA Las Vegas Four-Wide Nationals Pro Stock rookie standout driver Camrie Caruso will have her hands full navigating a new racetrack and four-wide racing for the first time. So far in the early stages of her rookie campaign the 24-year-old driver from Denver, North Carolina, has risen to every challenge. She will be driving with new primary sponsors this weekend as her Titan Racing Engine powered Chevrolet Camaro will be adorned with colorful branding representing Air Flow Research (AFR) SCAT Crankshafts and Procar by SCAT.
“We have been talking with the team at Air Flow Research, SCAT Crankshafts and Procar by SCAT about getting involved with our program for a while,” said Caruso, who has qualified at all three NHRA national events in 2022 and advance to the quarterfinals the past two races. “They are the aftermarket go-to seat for Chevrolet Camaros so this relationship was literally a perfect fit. When you add in the backing of Air Flow Research and SCAT Crankshafts with their long history in Pro Stock, I could not be more excited to represent these companies.”
Gatornationals Equals Another Big Weekend for Rookie Camrie Caruso
GAINESVILLE, FL – Racing at the iconic Gatornationals Pro Stock driver Camrie Caruso continued to make history and improve as she ran
to her second consecutive quarterfinal finish. In only her third start Caruso raced her Right Trailers Chevrolet Camaro to the No. 7 qualifier, equaling her best professional qualifying effort. Her qualifying pass of 6.516 seconds was the quickest run of her career in a very competitive Pro Stock field that saw national record runs at the top of the pack.
“This kind of performance we have seen this weekend is crazy. I didn’t think we would run 6.40s any time soon. We are getting there and that 6.49 was big for us,” said Caruso. “My first couple of national events were a little overwhelming. I am getting more comfortable and the team is making progress. We are getting more confident every race.”
The first round was a replay of the opening race of the NHRA Arizona Nationals, when Caruso squared off with Cristian Cuadra. For the second time Caruso saw the glow of a win light as her Right Trailers Camaro crossed the finish line. This win was special since she once again improved on her personal best elapsed time and speed in the victory. Her winning time of 6.491 seconds at 213.10 mph was a dramatic improvement and showed the power her Titan Racing Engine program was generating for the rookie driver.
CARUSO HEADS INTO ARIZONA NATIONALS AS No. 8 QUALIFIER
PHOENIX, AZ – For the second race in a row of her young career, Pro Stock rookie Camrie Caruso will start from the top half of the field at
an NHRA national event. The 23-year-old third generation driver drove the Powerbuilt Tools Chevrolet Camaro to the No. 8 spot at the NHRA Arizona Nationals on the strength of her 6.547 second run at 209.59 mph during the first session today. With Titan Racing Engine power under the hood Caruso will face Cristian Cuadra in the first round.
“I think we made some really big strides this weekend at the Arizona Nationals. I am excited to see what we can do tomorrow in the first round,” said Caruso, one of the early favorites for NHRA Rookie of the Year. “I am definitely feeling more comfortable in my Powerbuilt Tools Chevrolet Camaro with every run. I am going to look at the first round as just another qualifying run and not think about who is in the other lane. I just need to do my routine.”
On Friday night Caruso rolled her Chevrolet Camaro that also gets backing from Global Emissions Systems Inc. (GESi®), NGK Spark Plugs, and VP Racing Lubricants off her Right Trailer hauler and ran to the No. 9 provisional spot with a 6.574 second run at 210.34 mph. She recorded top speed of the event for the first day with that run and showed her race car has the power and consistency to compete at the highest level.
CAMRIE CARUSO FOCUSED ON BUILDING MOMENTUM IN PHOENIX
PHOENIX, AZ – During her professional NHRA Pro Stock debut rookie driver Camrie Caruso established herself not just as a favorite for
NHRA Rookie of the Year honors but also as a serious player in the Pro Stock category. The 24-year-old driver from Denver, North Carolina, drove her Powerbuilt Tools Chevrolet Camaro to the No. 7 qualifying spot thanks to great on-track instincts and under the hood power from Titan Racing Engines. Every run the Powerbuilt Tools Camaro, which also gets significant support from Global Emissions Systems Inc. (GESi®), NGK Spark Plugs, Right Trailers and VP Racing Lubricants, improved its performance.
“I was so excited to qualify at my first event and see this Powerbuilt Tools Chevrolet Camaro perform the way that it did,” said Caruso. “This is a complete team effort from Titan Racing Engines and Mike Smith with the engine program to crew chief Jim Yates to our crew guys getting the car ready at the track. We are learning every run and I am really working on being consistent with my routine.”
Through three rounds of qualifying Caruso made runs of 6.563, 6.566 and 6.553 seconds which was the kind of consistency that will win races at the Pro Stock level. After multiple testing sessions leading up to the Winternationals Caruso’s comfort level inside the cockpit continued to improve with every pass. The third-generation racer took all the extra pre-race requirements in stride and still made a strong debut. Heading to Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park Caruso is looking forward to staying in the racing groove for the third weekend in a row.
