BRITTANY FORCE COMES UP BIG WITH FANS AND LUCK
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Three-time Top Fuel runner-up Brittany Force will admit that winning sometimes comes down to a little luck.
Today in Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis Force got some luck when her blue ping pong ball popped to the top of the air mix lottery machine and secured the final spot in the Top Fuel Traxxas Nitro Shootout, the big money specialty race held in conjunction with the 60th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals this weekend.
“This is just awesome. I am so excited. This will be our second year in the Traxxas Shootout and I have to thank my fans and the support I got from my sponsors like Castrol, Ford, Auto Club, Mac Tools, and BrandSource,” said Fore.
Force had a 65% chance of winning the last spot thanks to huge fan support through online voting leading up to Wednesday. The first seven spots in the Traxxas Shootout were secured by race winners this season and Force will face off against the No. 1 qualifier Doug Kalitta.
The Top Fuel Traxxas Shootout will be run during the Saturday portion of qualifying during the U.S. Nationals. Force’s teammates John Force, Robert Hight and Courtney Force will be competing in the Funny Car portion of the Traxxas Nitro Shootout which will be contested on Sunday. The winner of each Traxxas Shootout will race away with $100,000 and a custom Traxxas, the Fastest Name in Radio Control, trophy.
