V.Gaines Joliet Report

Joliet, IL – The 2014 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series is making their stop in the Windy City area this weekend. V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil team have unloaded their rig at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet Ill. and the guys are looking forward to another big weekend.

“This is a cool race track with their stadium style seating, the fans are amazing here, and the folks here at Route 66 Raceway work their tails off making sure everyone has a great weekend” V Gaines.

“We know it is hard to see from the outside but we made good progress on the Kendall Motor Oil Dart last weekend.” Gaines cont. “We are excited to hit the track and man-o-man we are so ready to be racing deep into the rounds on Sunday”

Gaines and his crew roll into Joliet sitting number 8 in the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series points standings. “We started the season flying and hanging at the top of the points, we have the team, we have the horse power and now we are starting to find the set up on the new car” Rick Semm crew member.

Team members Rick and Gary competed in the third “Truck Driver Challenge” on Thursday here at Route 66 Raceway and had a great time. Rick came in 5th of all the NHRA drivers and Gary came in second for this event. The final event for the challenge takes place later this year in Charlotte. Great job by both guys!
