GoodYear resigns as X275 Contingency Sponsor for 2011

Fredericksburg, VA – X275 is once again proud to announce that GOODYEAR TIRE will be an Official Contingency Sponsor of the series. After a very successful first year with X275 Goodyear has decided to step up once again and support the racers in X275 with contingency and year end awards for the racers using the GOODYEAR EAGLE SS Drag Radial in the class.

In 2010 Goodyear came on board with a tire that many had tried and found to be competitive with the other brands being used in X275. Not content with leaving the tire alone Goodyear Engineers decided to revise the 2011 Eagle SS Drag Radial based on data gathered in 2010 and racer feedback so we should see a tire that is going to be better than ever.

Several racers have tested the tire and have had success with it like Bob Kurgan in his NMCA XS car while competing in the X275 Class at South Georgia Motorsports Park in February of this year.

For the 2011 season at Maryland International Raceway, Virginia Motorsports Park, and New England Dragway GOODYEAR TIRE will be providing contingency in the form of the EAGLE SS Drag Radial for racers either winning or finishing as a runner up on the Goodyear Eagle SS Tire in the Q8. If a racer does not win or runner up in the Q8 field on the Goodyear Eagle SS we will look to the racers in the 9 – 16 Shootout field and reward them for their win or runner up on the Goodyear Eagle SS Drag Radial. Winning racers will receive 2 Goodyear Eagle SS Drag Radials and the racers in the runner up position will receive 1 Goodyear Eagle SS Drag Radial. I order to claim your contingency you must be using the Eagle SS and also have the proper contingency decals in place on either side of your car. Tech will have the forms for you to fill out for contingency.
