WORSHAM, CRAMPTON TOP TOYOTAS IN HOUSTON NHRA QUALIFYING

HOUSTON, TX – Del Worsham qualified his DHL Toyota Camry second in Funny Car, while Richie Crampton Toyota Logoplaced third in Top Fuel to lead Toyota in preparation for Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA SpringNationals at Royal Purple Raceway in suburban Houston.

For Worsham, it marked the fourth time in the last five races that he’s qualified in the top-five. He gained four bonus points over the course of the weekend.

“I can’t say enough about the whole DHL Toyota team,” relayed Worsham. “Every week they’ve got this car ready to run right out of the box. We’ve not only been fast, but really consistent.”

Following Worsham among the Camry Funny Cars is Kalitta Motorsports teammate Alexis DeJoria, who qualified fourth in her Patr?n XO Café Incendio Toyota Camry. Cruz Pedregon ran the second-quickest time of Saturday’s first session to place ninth in his Snap-on Tools Camry, with Chad Head in 10 th in his Head Racing Camry and Tony Pedregon in 11th in the Century Asphalt Camry.

In Top Fuel, Crampton’s strong showing follows a victory at the most recent event at Las Vegas in his Lucas Oil Toyota dragster. Crampton topped Saturday’s final session to earn three additional bonus points. The second-year driver will take on Clay Millican tomorrow.

Following Crampton was Shawn Langdon, who is sporting a new Bass Pro Shops sponsorship on his Knuckle Sandwich Toyota. Langdon will match up with Larry Dixon in tomorrow’s first round. Antron Brown qualified 10th in his Matco Tools Toyota dragster and will battle Dave Connolly in the opening round on Sunday.
