World Champion Larry Dixon to Serve as Night of Fire Grand Marshal

“Fastest Ride in Drag Racing” Two Seat Top Fuel Dragster to Wow Crowd

Oskaloosa, IA – Three-time NHRA Top Fuel World Champion Larry Dixon will serve as the Grand Marshal at the 23rd Annual Musco Lighting Night of Fire, Friday and Saturday, July 5 & 6 at Eddyville Raceway Park, Oskaloosa, Iowa. In addition to serving as Grand Marshal, Dixon will bring his “fastest ride in drag racing” Top Fuel Dragster to the Night of Fire where one lucky person will win the opportunity to take a once in a lifetime ride.

“I am honored and really excited about being the Grand Marshal of Eddyville Raceway’s 23rd annual Musco Lighting Night of Fire. They have lots of nitro cars and no prep stars running this weekend! I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the Fourth of July weekend than at the race track! And for the first time in history a person will win a free ride in the world’s only real 10,000 horsepower two-seat Top Fuel car. Talk about Golden Tickets! Eddyville has gone all out this year and I’m proud to be a part of it!”

The Musco Lighting Night of Fire has become the event of the summer for fans throughout the Midwest. Included in this year’s feature show, in addition to the Dixon top fuel dragster are powerful nitro breathing fuel altereds, nitro front engine dragsters, insane jet cars and the wheelstading gear-jamming Super Shifters. Plus for the first time ever; No Prep Kings and Drag Week star Larry Larson will bring his brand new radical Cadillac to race local No-Prep racer Bruce Micetich in a no-holes bared match up!

Fans can still get an opportunity to win a chance for a ride in the world’s only 2-seat top fuel dragster driven by Larry Dixon, by attending Friday evening’s event and purchasing a prize pack which includes admission for Saturday, plus a souvenir event T-shirt and hat for only $85 and then will automatically be placed in the drawing. The winner will be chosen by Larry Dixon by random drawing during the Friday evening feature show and the ride will awarded during the Saturday evening feature show.

The Musco Lighting Night of Fire gets underway on Friday, July 5 with sportsman racers taking to the track followed by the Friday night feature show at 9 PM. Then Saturday, July 6 includes sportsman racing throughout the day followed by two feature rounds at 6 PM and 9 PM. Admission on Friday is $15 for adults, $5 for kids (6-12) and Saturday $30 for adults, $10 for kids (6-12) and kids under 6 are free each day.
