West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods and Jet Dragsters added to NHRA Sonoma Nationals this weekend

Sonoma, CA The hills of the Sonoma Valley will shake with 8,000 horsepower and 300 mph speeds when the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Sonoma Nationals WCOPMARacing Series comes to town for the NHRA Sonoma Nationals this weekend, July 26-28.

To augment the on-track action, the raceway has added an incredible line up of West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods, featuring six-second door slammers ranging from highly-modified nitrous Dusters to supercharged Camaros. Seven cars from the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Series will be featured on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which include last weekend’s WCOPMA event winner Marc Meadors driving the Pure Hell 2 Goodguys Racing Camaro, Make Maggio, Rod Burbage, Sean Renteria, Joe Lepone Jr. driving Derrol Hubbards nitrous-fed Duster, Jay Diedrich and Dan Myers in the new Don Carter Racing 1969 Camaro.

Two jet dragsters have also just been added to the weekend line up.  These fire-breathing machines reach speeds of more than 300 mph and will be featured on Friday and Saturday following the final nitro qualifying sessions.
