Vanstrom taking the Joe Cocker Route to No Mercy 7

Buffalo, NY – Buffalo, New York’s Doug Vanstrom, of Vanstrom Performance, is headed to South Georgia Doug VanstromMotorsports Park (SGMP) this week for No Mercy 7. Vanstrom, who races primarily in the North East with the Buffalo Street Outlaws, the DADS series and the MOMS series, did not have this event on his 2016 schedule. His only “Long Haul” race he had on his schedule was earlier this year at American Outlaws Live but, thanks to some friends and sponsors, Vanstrom is now taking “The Booger” to SGMP for No Mercy 7.

“This race wasn’t even on my radar as an event to attend,” said Vanstrom. “I received an unexpected message from another racer, Dave Texido, who races at my home track, Lancaster National Dragway, and he said he was going down to watch. Dave said he was taking his motorhome and offered to pull my trailer down and let me stay with him and his buddies for the event. I immediately jumped on line, called my wife, and work. I got everything in order, called Dave back and said “Let’s do it”.

Once word got out I was going some of my sponsors offered extra help and some new marketing partners stepped up to help cover expenses. I couldn’t do what I do without the support of my Wife, friends, family, and marketing Partners. I guess the old song is true… “I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends”, added the 275 radial racer.

Vanstrom’s “Booger” is a turbocharged small block Ford Mustang that was home built by Vanstrom at his shop, Vanstrom Performance in North Collins, NY, just south of Buffalo.
