(Currently 1st) Antron Brown, Matco Tools/Toyota Top Fuel Dragster: “We are going into Vegas, we have a little bit of a points lead but it’s anybody’s game. Our main focus is to stay humble, keep our heads down and continue the hard work that’s got us here. That is a crucial moment for us right now. We’re still not done working. We can’t wait for Vegas and the Toyota Nationals.”

On winning six of the last 10 Countdown Races:
“That’s called teamwork, that’s called when the pressure gets up. I think that’s what brings out the best in our team. Our team thrives on pressure where some teams might crack or folds, some teams get better. When the higher the pressure gets, it seems like it dials our knob up even more and we put that extra focus in.”

(Currently 2nd) Doug Kalitta, Mac Tools Toyota Top Fuel Dragster: “Las Vegas is a great track for Kalitta Motorsports as a whole; I won the Toyota Nationals last season and then we had that great all-Kalitta Toyota Funny Car final here in the Spring. I am very proud of this Mac Tools team. They continue to fight and work hard. We are going to go into the Toyota Nationals planning to win and using that momentum to finish the season strong and we’ll see what happens in Pomona.”

(Currently 3rd) Shawn Langdon, Sandvik/Red Fuel Toyota Top Fuel Dragster: “I felt that the last few races, my driving has been at an all-time high. I feel real good about my driving and the way our Sandvik/Red Fuel Toyota car is running.

At the end of the day, Antron is just doing an excellent job. They’re running away with it. We’ve been the only thorn in their side (beating Brown at St. Louis) in the Countdown. They’ve won every other race. When teams are on fire like that sometimes it’s just hard to put them out and you’re just out there racing for second place. Yet, we still have a chance and we’re going to continue to do our best. We’re not giving up just yet.”
