TNT Super Series wraps up 2015 season with double race weekend plus the ROC
Sam LoVetro Automotive presents championship weekend!
NEW YORK – The ninth season of the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series will crown its 2015 Champion this
weekend with two races to close out the season – Lancaster Dragway’s 1/8th mile on Friday night and Empire Dragway’s 1/4 mile on Saturday – PLUS the annual REVS Full Throttle Powersports RACE OF CHAMPIONS on Saturday at Empire.
With Sam LoVetro Automotive presenting championship weekend along with a very tight points chase, the competition is going to be as tough as it gets. Paul Young took the points lead at Cayuga back in June and hasn’t looked back. He sits with a 43 point lead over the team of Jablonski and Vitez. LoVetro himself is in third with VanBaalen and Surmatchewski rounding out the top five.
None of these guys are strangers to the winner’s circle and with two races this weekend, the championship chase is far from over. Young needs to go more than a few rounds to lock it up and a poor qualifying effort combined with a strong performance by anyone in the top five could change things dramatically. The real question is who will play spoiler?
Then there is the jockeying that will go on back in the pack. The point spread between 6th and 10th is ONLY 16 points.

The ROC is a free race open to ALL past TNTSS event winners and champions. With $1200 for the winner and $400 for runner-up, everyone will bring their ‘A’ game. There are currently 32 drivers eligible for this race plus many looking to Friday’s race as their final chance to get in. After that, the ladder is set.
Friday’s race will also see 19 drivers enter for free as they lost first round at the GUARANTEED TO WIN event back on August 22 at Empire. That’s almost $1200 in TNTSS entry fees going back to the racers thanks to Roy & Tara Lister.
And finally as in past seasons, the TNTSS points registration fee will be waived for BOTH Friday and Saturday’s races to allow people who want to try out the best index class racing in the country, the chance to do so.
Gates open at 3pm Friday at Lancaster with qualifying at 5pm and Saturday at Empire gates open EARLY at 9:30am with qualifying at 10:30am.
