CANFIELD, ON – With eleven of thirteen races complete, the most popular sportsman drag racing series in the country will close off the 2012 season this weekend September 7-8 with another double-header, western New York style.

The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series will return to Dunn Tire Raceway Park in Lancaster, NY on Friday and then heads east to Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY on Saturday, all presented by The Sister Act Band.

In addition to crowning the 2012 TNTSS Champion, Saturday’s event will pay a guaranteed $1000 to the winner. And for anyone wanting to try out the series, the annual points registration fee will be waived for this weekend.

Last year, Scott Jahren got his first TNTSS win on Friday at DTRP and David Surmatchewski took Saturday at Empire. This year, the points chase is far from settled. Jon Jablonski leads with 670 points, Harry Phelps is in second at 613, Tom Coonly and Pete/Chris VanBaalen are tied for third with 602 and rounding out the top five is Roy Lister at 557.

Gates open at 3:00pm on Friday at Dunn Tire Raceway Park with qualifying at 5:00pm. Saturday at Empire Dragway has gates opening at 1:00pm with qualifying to follow. Go to www.tntsuperseries.com for more information.
