TNT Super Series marks halfway point with a New York double weekend plus 4-car SHOOT-OUT

NEW YORK – The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series rolls into western New York for two re-scheduled events this Friday-Saturday August 22-23.

Rainouts earlier this season for RACE #1 and RACE #6 created this weekend’s double. Steve’s Electric powers the TNTSS at Elegant Builders Raceway Park in Lancaster, NY on Friday August 22. It will be high stakes Friday night 1/8th mile action – there were 36 cars last time out!

Then on Saturday August 23 the TNTSS heads to Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY presented by Autos Direct of Buffalo. This time it’ll be 1/4 mile competition… testing the drivers as they switch set-ups.

Also on Saturday will be the running of the first ever Sister Act Band 4-Car SHOOT-OUT featuring Tom Coonly, Sam LoVetro Jr, Ted Barnes and Jamie Stoneman. Yet another reason why the TNTSS is the most popular sportsman drag racing series in the country. The SHOOT-OUT is a no entry fee, $1000 to win race for qualified Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series racers only. It will run during eliminations on Saturday night.

Update on divisional competition – This past weekend saw TNTSS regular Kevin Orr score a runner-up finish at the IHRA Pro Am in Martin, Michigan. In fact, the current IHRA Division 3 standings have three of the top five racers coming from the TNTSS – Kevin Orr in third, Roy Lister fourth and Joe Passero in fifth. Passero has two more to claim and will be at Farmington, NC this weekend looking to improve his position.

Gates open Friday at 3pm at Elegant Builders Raceway Park with qualifying at 5pm. Saturday at Empire Dragway gates open at noon with qualifying at 2pm.
