CAYUGA, ON – Former champion Ted Glinny came close but couldn’t repeat his success of last season in the Pro Bike & Sled Series for Ted Glinny2013, placing second in the Championship Point Award Series.

Presented by Wiseco Performance Products, the PBSS has now completed its third year of operation.

Pro Bike rider Glinny, of Milton, Ontario, started his PBSS season well, qualifying number two and winning over Marty Kuiack, also of Milton, for the opener held at Martin, Michigan. Then the Kawasaki rider qualified sixth and was knocked out in the first round for the first of three events held on the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park. He was also out in the first after qualifying third for the next event, but took a victory during the Canadian Nitro Nationals at Cayuga over series champion Dan Cryderman of Thamesville Ontario after qualifying fourth for the fourth race.

He also qualified fourth for both of the next two events, held at the Grand Bend Motorplex, finishing up in the second round at the first race, but taking his third win of the season of the year-end closer at Grand Bend with a final round victory over Melissa Pluim of Pefferlaw, Ontario.

Glinny, who has raced for over 30 years and was the 2012 PBSS co-champion, rides a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja with a 1425-cc engine and a Lectron fuel system on a modified stock chassis. A GPZ 1-2 transmission is employed which gets him down the quarter mile in the mid-eight-second range at speeds of 150 mph. Harry Manovich crews for the Glinnja Racing team, with help from crew Jay and Nicole Glinny and Marty Kuiack.
