Street Car Super Nationals X………. Another Record Shattering Event!!

Las Vegas, NV – It wasn’t just teased; it was GUARANTEED that Street Car Super Nationals X Presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks would SCSN Xshatter records and the Pacific Street Car Association delivered. In a weekend that saw Turky al Zafari double up by winning the Outlaw Pro Mod title here after taking the Anarchy at the Arch championship in August, class records fell early and often.

The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was prepared masterfully by the track’s staff with the starting line manned by the NHRA’s Chief Starter Mark Lyle under near-perfect weather conditions. Larry Larson took the record for fastest-ever street car Thursday night and improved on that pass repeatedly until Sunday when he hit a Mind Blowing 5.950. In ProCharger Pro Radial, Roger Holder, always fast, not only won the event but took the title of fastest/quickest ever on a Drag Radial Tire with a monster ET of 6.127 at 245.54 mph.

While TheEFIStore.com Outlaw Pro Mod Racer Turky al Zafiri kept his title of quickest-ever door-slammer with his ET of 5.461 seconds earned in St. Louis, Paul Mouhayet took the belt of fastest-ever with a pass of 273.39 mph. In MagnaFuel Outlaw 10.5, Canadian Nick Agostino had the fans not believing their eyes and ears as he set the new Small Block Outlaw 10.5 ET record with a 6.105 and on that same pass, broke both ends of the 1/8th-mile Small Block records (4.012/194.04). New Mexico racer Mark Meiering set a new mark with a 7.42/185.79 as the world’s fastest Supercharged GT500.

Vortech Superchargers Outlaw 8.5 stole the show as 38 of these small tire warriors wheelie’d their way into a very tight 32-car Field and when the dust settled it was New Mexico over Texas as Joe Gallager bested Eric Stubbs in the finals.

Along with the highest of highs, the event can bring the lowest of lows, such as the results in Precision Turbo Pro Mod when Michael Biehle Jr. crossed the center-line, giving the title to Rick Snavely. Taylor Lastor was able to earn the victory in MagnaFuel Outlaw 10.5 when his opponent, Mike Murillo, had issues getting off the line. One of the closest finishes of the final rounds came in Mickey Thompson Wild Street when Eric Gustafson overcame a slight hole-shot (.014 to .032) by Chris Grove’s and drove around him right at the finish with 4.501 ET over Groves 4.522.

Other SCSN X winners were: MagnaFuel XDR/TT5-Chris Alston Jr; AOS Hot Street-Michael DeMayo; Vortech Outlaw 8.5-Joe Gallagher; Edelbrock Super Index-Don McDavitt; Ross Racing Pistons Triple Index-Brian Weber; Accufab Mustang Madness-Sergio Felipe; Brodix Bracket 1-Bob Bundy; and Calvert Racing Street Muscle-Scott Horsley.
