STEFKO RACING ENGINES RETURNS TO TITLE SPONSOR TWO PROGRAMS IN DSE SERIES

STOUFFVILE, ON Stefko Racing Engines will be returning for their third season with the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Joe & Robin FerrariSeries, supporting both the “Round that Counts” as well as the familiar 9.90 Super Gas category that will be contested at two event weekends this coming year.

The Stefko Racing Engines “ROUND THAT COUNTS” will take place every race day of a DSE Sportsman Series event during the final time trial session for all non-qualifying categories. Racers will be looking to nail down the best reaction in their class during that session to win the opportunity to receive the first Round bye run should there be an un-even number of cars in the class.

Super Gas again will also dawn the Stefko Racing Engines name, as this category returns for its 3rd season as an exhibition class within the DSE Sportsman Racing Series. The 9.90 Index racers will have three race dates and two opportunities at coveted NHRA Hardware in 2014 as they compete at both the July 26-27 NHRA Provincial Championships (A points earning event for the Western New York Super Rod Association) as well as a single day event on Saturday September 13th for an NHRA Wally during the National Dragster Challenge race.

The Prominent engine builder from just north of Toronto is no stranger to Drag Racing or making strong reliable horsepower for quarter mile machines, as Stefko boasts a line-up of successful  customers using both small block and big block bracket racing engines, along with customers who have run blown/supercharged  engines well into the 6 second range at over 200 MPH. John Stekfo and Stefko racing engines are also extremely adept at building NHRA/IHRA class legal motors from Stock/Super Stock combos to the wildly radical Super Street/Gas/Comp throttle stop engines.

“Having such strong support from companies like Stefko Racing Engines  is key to making Series’ like ours exist” Stated Series Director Andrew Stirk. “John is a huge supporter of Local and regional Drag Racing, and we are extremely thankful to have him and his fantastic company backing our series and its racers for another season”

The first Event in the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series is the 3rd Annual Season Opener, which takes place June 7th-8th at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park. The DSE Sportsman Racing Series boasts a Year end points fund in excess of $22,500, and features a point’s structure where racers claim their best 8 out of 12 point’s races during the season.
