Baytown, TX – Special events will dominate this year’s Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Lone Star Shootout, which will be one of the largest 
muscle car events of the year in the great state of Texas next weekend November 9-11, 2012. Joining some of NMRA and NMCA’s most popular classes like TREMEC True Street, Harland Sharp Mod Comp, and EFI Rumble, these planned special events have the region buzzing with excitement.
The Texas Pro Mod Association will be shaking the stands and burning up the ¼ mile with 6-second 200+ mph passes all weekend long. See the pages of Hot Rod magazine come alive as Paschal Performance Unlimited Street pits famed racers like Larry Larson and Jeff Lutz against each other in their awesome 7-second street cars! Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords will once again present the hugely popular True Street class, which will attract street racers from mild to wild racing for 9 separate awards.
Witness the fastest all motor cars in the U.S. racing against each other in the N/A 10.5 World Finals, which takes place exclusively at the Lone Star Shootout at Royal Purple Raceway November 9-11. The best part is that all race class winners, including bracket categories, will take home famed NHRA Unleashed Wallys courtesy of Aerospace Components!
Watch as Royal Purple Raceway’s pavilion area turn into a sea of color as over 400 Ford, Chevy, and Chrysler show participants shine up and show off their awesome late-model and early muscle cars and hot rods. The UPR Products / DuPont Custom Finishes Car Show will have national magazine editors drooling as they search for magazine features amongst row after row of stock and modified show cars.
The Lone Star Shootout also features one of the largest manufacturers midways and swap meets of the year.
