Show Growing for May Extreme Event in Grand Bend

Brandford, ON – As announced last month RPM Magazine/Lucas Oil Extreme Events will be backing 3 events for 2011, and the first, being held at the Grand Bend Motorplex in Ontario, Canada, is gaining momentum with every day that passes.

“The May long weekend in Canada will be upon us before we know it and the Grand Bend Motorplex team has been working hard to put together a great show, and we’ve been doing whatever we can to help,” said RPM Editor Chris Biro.

“We try to do everything possible to support the sport that makes RPM possible and these three events are definitely designed to give back to racers, performance enthusiasts and fans. The fact that we are partnered with such outstanding people only makes it a better experience from start to finish!”

RPM Magazine/Lucas Oil Extreme Events 2011 presents the  Rudy Held’s Performance Centre Spring Blowout at Grand Bend Motorplex May 20-22!  Here is what is on tap for this exciting event to date:  

• Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Cars.
• The “Beast From The East” Jet Dragster.
• Rudy Held’s Performance Centre Extreme 32 presented by Armando’s Pizza and Amherst Quarries.
• Plus Thunder Series classes including Junior Dragster.
• Huge Rock Concert Sunday night (Monday Mar 23rd, is the official “Victoria Day” Canadian holiday)
• And, just as at EVERY RPM/Lucas Oil Extreme Event, there will be plenty of FREE giveaways for racers and fans!

Watch for more announcements not just surrounding the Grand Bend Extreme Event May 20-22 but also for the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Extreme Event August 15th at Maple Grove Raceway in Pennsylvania as part of their Rumble At The Grove, and the 10″ Wide Racing Street Cruise & Grudge Match Extreme Event (August 19 & 20th) with a real “extreme” street car cruise night on Friday, and then, those same 8, 7 and even 6 second street cars from the cruise will let it all hang out for some good ole fashioned heads-up grudge style match racing at Great Lakes Dragaway on Saturday August 20th.
