Brandford, ON – Canadian Victoria Day Holiday Weekend will see the first big show of 2011 hit Grand Bend Motorplex May 21-23!
The BIG action on the dragstrip Saturday and Sunday will include:

HUGE ROCK CONCERT SUNDAY starting at 8pm will see opening act Unanimous Maybe and Dinosaur Bones pave the way for San Sebastian and The Arkells!
In the true “give back to the racer” fashion of Lucas Oil Products with their RPM events, the first 250 competitors entering the grounds will receive a haul of goods from Lucas and RPM, which this year will include; a bottle of Lucas’ famous Slick Mist Fast & Easy Speed Wax, a 5 litre jug of Lucas SAE10W30 Motor Oil and a complimentary copy of RPM Magazine!

Facing a positive weekend forecast (finally!), in just 4 days the pits of Grand Bend Motorplex (located just a short drive from the Port Huron, USA border to Canada) will fill with hundreds of incredible drag race machines in preparation for the season’s first major event… Grand Bend Motorplex (GBM) has just posted the following on their website: “Since we were unable to open this past weekend, we will be doing the following re this coming weekend. So far weather reports are looking great! FRIDAY May 20th – Gates will open at 2pm to allow everyone to have some extra setup time for their trailers/pit sites. Test & Tune will be from 6pm to 11pm Test & Tune $20. SATURDAY May 21th – Gates will open at 8am. Time Trials will start at 10am for all classes followed by eliminations. SUNDAY May 15th – Gates will open at 8am. Time Trials will start at 9am for all classes followed by eliminations. Concert gates 7pm. Spectator – $65 Weekend (Fri- Sun) including camping, $25 Sat, $25 Sun, Kids 6-12 $5 day! Concert only, just $20! Note: Please be aware that in the pit area some of our new roads are still soft, due to all the rain so try and stay off these and stay on the existing roadways if at all possible.
