Quick Drive Improves Quickest Doorslammer Award

$1000 goes to quickest doorslammer in year end grudge match

PITTSBORO, NC – PDRA and Quick Drive recently initiated the Quickest Extreme Doorslammer Award. The original program was open to all PDRA professional doorslammer classes. However, in light of recent category changes, Quick Drive and the PDRA are proud to announce some exciting new changes.

The Quickest Extreme Doorslammer Award will play on the parity between the wildly popular Moroso Pro Boost and Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous presented by MoTeC categories. The initial premise of the program remains the same: beginning at the upcoming Firecracker Nationals, June 28-30, the quickest Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost pass will be the current leaders in the Quickest Extreme Doorslammer Award. Each event will give opportunity for a new leader to arise.

The program will run through the second qualifying session at the PDRA World Finals, October 18-20. After that, the quickest Pro Nitrous run of the year and the quickest Pro Boost run of the year will stand. The two lucky drivers will then enter a grudge match to determine the true Quickest Extreme Doorslammer of 2018. Winner will take home $1000 and the runner up will get $500, courtesy of Quick Drive.

The current National ET Record in Pro Nitrous is 3.653 and Pro Boost 3.638, a clear indicator that it’s anybody’s game for the $1000 on the line. The two classes, though utilizing different power sources, are still neck and neck when it comes to performance.

Fans can pull for their favorite driver or performance combination throughout the season as the rivalry between nitrous versus turbo or blower heats up for the Quick Drive Quickest Extreme Doorslammer Award. Results and updates will be posted on PDRA social media.
