PSCA Returns to Denver for Second Edition of MagnaFuel Rocky Mountain Summer Series

LAS VEGAS, NV – Drag racing fans will converge on the legendary Bandimere Speedway outside Denver this weekend for part 2 of the MagnaFuel Rocky Mountain Summer Series Presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks. The event, taking place Friday and Saturday, kicks off Friday at 7 p.m. local time with gates opening at 3:30

Four Pacific Street Car Association classes will battle at Bandimere, celebrating its 55th year of providing some of the best drag racing in the country. In addition, the Real Outlaw Door Slammers and the Super Chevy Show will be there providing a muscle car enthusiast’s dream weekend.

“It’s going to be hard to top what we saw at Bandimere the last time, but given the level of competition and the great track prep, I know the fans will definitely get their moneys’ worth,” said Pacific Street Car Association President Mel Roth. “Bandimere hasn’t been around for 55 years for nothing; their staff and track workers are some of the best in the business and the same goes for the fans in the area. We are thrilled to be returning to Denver.”

Dave Walters is the points leader for the MagnaFuel Outlaw 10.5 class presented by OnTrack Performance & Precision Design, but no less than 15 other racers are gunning for his spot at the top. Another driver looking to hold on to their lead going into the final RMSS event in Albuquerque, N.M., next month are Paint by Krusty Outlaw 8.5 front runner Mark Everhart, who has led the points since the first event in June. Upgrades to his car as well as upgrades to his body in the form of much-needed back surgery have pumped him up for this weekend.

New Mexico native and June RMSS MagnaFuel XDR/TT5 presented by OverKill Race Cars LLC winner Mike Keenan has been busy testing nearly every weekend in preparation for this event. Keenan’s goal is the be the fastest and quickest small-tire racer in the West with Proline’s Eric Dillard responsible for the tuning.

It takes great fans and competitors to put on a show like the Rocky Mountain Summer Series as well as great sponsors.
