NMRA vs. NMCA at Route 66 Raceway July 30-Aug. 2

10th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing converges on Joliet, IL with thrilling all-American racing, car show, swap meet & more!

Santa Ana, CA – The NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing is one of the biggest and most exciting events of the season. Brought to you by Nitto Tire, this year’s event on the weekend of July 30 to August 2 features some of the world’s fastest American muscle cars and trucks with several classes reaching speeds of 250+ mph and engines that are capable of over 3,000 horsepower. This is the only event where NMRA racers compete directly with NMCA racers for bragging rights and the Nitto Tire Diamond Tree Super Bowl rings. Presented by Keystone Automotive and Flowmaster, this event includes thrilling heads-up drag racing, huge all-American car show on both Saturday and Sunday, giant swap meet, a big manufacturers midway, burnout contests, Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle and more.

Situated on historic Route 66 in Joliet, Route 66 Raceway is an NHRA-affiliated, quarter-mile drag strip and the sister track to Chicagoland Speedway. “We are excited to welcome back the NMRA/NMCA event to our world class facility,” said Scott Paddock, Route 66 Raceway president. “We pride ourselves in offering the most diverse and dynamic forms of drag racing programming to our great fans throughout the Midwest, and the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing certainly delivers on that commitment.”

Like all NMRA and NMCA events, the 10th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing brings thrilling heads-up drag racing action with nearly twenty-five classes of American muscle cars. The line-up includes Pro Mods capable of over 250 mph, 2,000+ HP Street Outlaws, wild Renegades, radical Top Sportsman, Coyote Modified, Modular Muscle and more. The huge all-American car show features hundreds of early- and late-model cars, trucks and street rods with awards handed out on both Saturday and Sunday. On the manufacturer’s midway, representatives from the top names in the automotive aftermarket share their latest products and answer questions to help fans and racers choose the best parts for their project car. The swap meet, burnout contest along with the intense competition on the drag strip between the NMRA and NMCA makes this a “must-attend” event of the year.
