INDIANAPOLIS – NHRA officials announced today that Rob Park has been promoted to Senior Director of Field Operations, helping strengthen NHRA’s commitment to sportsman racers and its member tracks.

Park has been a dedicated member of the NHRA for nearly 30 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. He previously served as the West Central Division Director for several years before moving into his most recent role as Sportsman Racing Mentor.

As part of the new role as Senior Director of Field Operations, Park will oversee the day-to-day operations of the seven NHRA Division Directors, bringing his extensive experience and leadership to enhance and guide divisional events, NHRA member tracks, and NHRA partners and stakeholders.

“I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to continue serving the sport of NHRA drag racing,” Park said. “My passion has always been rooted in supporting sportsman racers and member tracks, and I am thrilled that this new position will enable me to collaborate closely with Division Directors, their teams and the Field Marketing staff. Together, we will work to elevate and enhance the sportsman racing experience, ensuring it remains as thrilling and rewarding as possible for everyone involved.”

Park will report to NHRA Vice President of Racing Administration Josh Peterson. During his lengthy 29-year tenure at NHRA, Park has played a pivotal role in supporting the NHRA racing community, mentoring racers and race officials and helping to ensure smooth event operations.

“Rob has had a critical position within the NHRA for 29 years and we’re excited to see that continue in this role of Senior Director of Field Operations,” Peterson said. “His experience and vast knowledge of NHRA drag racing, its tracks, racers and partners has been valuable for NHRA in a variety of ways and that will only continue in this new position. He’ll be a tremendous resource for our standout team of NHRA Division Directors as they all share an incredible passion for NHRA drag racing.”
