NHRA LUCAS OIL RACING SERIES THUNDER ON THE MOUNTAIN

MORRISON, CO – The NHRA West Central Division returns to Bandimere Speedway with Thunder on the Mountain presented by CARSTAR on June 16-17.  The event is one of 45 scheduled across the country where drivers in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series earn points leading to divisional and national championships as well as a chance at a share of the year-end purse of more than $519,000.

Categories include Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. The division’s Jerry Haas Race Cars Top Sportsman Series presented by Aeromotive, and the Fineline Madcap Top Dragster Series will run in conjunction with the event as well as Sportsman Motorcycle.

Tickets for Bandimere Speedway are $20 on Friday and $28 on Saturday. Children 6-12 are $6 each day and kids 5 and under are admitted free with a paid adult.

FRIDAY, June 16 – Single day ticket $20

Gates open at 7 a.m.

Qualifying and time trials begin at 9 a.m.

Top Dragster, Comp, Top Sportsman qualify at 11:20 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.

TAD & TAFC qualifying 5 p.m. & 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, June 17 – Single day ticket $28

Gates open at 7 a.m.

Women’s Expo 10 a.m. thru 3 p.m.

Sportsman qualifying and time trials continue beginning at 10:00 a.m.

TAD & TAFC qualifying 12 p.m.

Top Dragster, Comp, Top Sportsman qualify at 12:15 p.m.

Sportsman Eliminations 1:30 p.m.
