Nancy Matter Racing Welcomes New Partnership with Autolite Spark Plugs for the 2021 Drag Racing Season
DALLAS, TX — With an ongoing array of new companies joining The American Valor – Chris Kyle Legacy Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car, also 
known as The Guardian, Nancy Matter Racing is proud to announce their newest addition of partnerships with Autolite Spark Plugs for the 2021 Racing Season.
The Autolite® story began in 1911 when two small companies started producing buggy lamps, becoming a thriving automotive parts manufacturer by the 1930s. But its history as a spark plug manufacturer began in 1936, celebrating its 85th anniversary this year, when Royce G. Martin, President of the Electric Autolite Company, equipped and staffed a lab to develop the first Autolite spark plug. Leading the project was Robert Twells, a ceramic engineer, who eagerly researched current patents and ceramic insulator technology. With a handful of new draftsman and staff members, it only took a few months before the Electric Autolite Company had a spark plug available for distribution. Autolite had instant success, as the brand supplied spark plugs and other ignition parts to well-known automotive leaders including Chrysler, Studebaker, Packard and Willys.

Not only will we utilize these Autolite Spark Plugs in our nitro fueled funny car, but we then will repurpose them into color coded key chains for Racer’s Igniting Hope in continuation of our fundraising efforts to help Veterans, Vetted Military Foundations and Families with Children that have DIPG.”
Matter’s Team has just kicked of their season and looking forward to returning back to the Winner’s Circle in 2021 as they are competing at four NHRA Nostalgia Heritage Events this year, along with select Funny Car Chaos Events and Booked in Shows throughout the mid west.
