Larsen Motorsports team names 5th female driver!!!
Daytona Beach based Larsen Motorsports is proud to announce today that they have continued to expand their already impressive
lineup of drivers to include their very own Allison West. She will be joining the all-women drivers teams of Elaine Larsen who drives for the Miller Welding Company, Marisha Falk,, driver for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Dawn Perdue, driver for Sport Aviation and Kat Moller, driver for Matrix Systems Automotive Finishes.
20 year old Allison has worked with LMS for over a year on their Bio Fuels initiative, final assembly as well as on their chassis fabrication. Chris Larsen says, “Allison’s technical ability and hands on skills will make her valuable not only on the track, but in the shop as well!”
West has completed the licensing procedures to obtain a Jet Exhibition License. “Allison is doing a great job, I am impressed on how quickly she has adapted and feel as if she is going to be a great asset to the team” says Elaine Larsen.
Even though Allison West doesn’t come from a racing background, it’s been a lifelong dream for her to become a racecar driver. Whether it was playing with Hot Wheels as a kid or learning how to drive her dad’s Porsche 938 Turbo, Allison felt right at home in the Jet Dragster. Education has always been important to Allison. Graduating with honors from high school with over a 4.0 and captain of her school’s FIRST robotics team, she received a full ride to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in robotics. She plans to further her education by pursuing a Master of Science in Unmanned and Autonomous Systems Engineering at Embry-Riddle.
The Larsen Motorsports teams are touring with the International Hot Rod Associations (IHRA) Nitro Jams across North America. For more information on Allison and the LMS teams, visit LMSJETS.com You can also follow Allison on facebook at facebook.com/AllisonWestLMS
