Larsen Motorsports and Sport Aviation Sign agreement
Daytona Beach, FL – Larsen Motorsports and Sport Aviation, an aircraft dealer for the Czech Republic manufactured Sport
Cruiser aircraft have signed an agreement to promote sales of the Light Sport Aircraft category’s premium aircraft at events Larsen Motorsports attends across North America in 2014.
The airplane itself is a top of the line 2 seat single engine aircraft that has been in production since 2006. Over 500 have been produced and operate daily in flight schools and as personal private aircraft around the world. It is manufactured in the heart of the Czech Republic’s aviation valley known for its high quality military and civilian aircraft.
“I was first introduced to the Sport Cruiser while at a display for our decade long sponsor Embry Riddle Aeronautical University at the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association in Fort Worth Texas.”, said Chris Larsen, co-founder of Larsen Motorsports. “It’s sleek lines drew me to it. I kept walking back and forth from our display to the aircraft and admiring the quality construction and attention to detail. I told the representing dealer there that I was just looking and assured them there was no way a normal guy like me could ever afford to own an airplane, especially like this one. I was wrong.”
The airplane is manufactured to be an industry leader in the FAA’s Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) category. “The category is a game changer for those that thought they could never afford to fly”, says Larsen. “I have held a private pilots license for decades, but when I saw the actual expense of my passion for flying I just gave up.”
“Not any more,” Larsen says. “What if I told you there was an option for people that want to fly that has the latest equipment, will cruise at speeds with other well known single engine aircraft and burn a staggering 5 gallons of auto-gas fuel per hour doing it? How about the fact that a normal middle income person can afford to purchase and operate it?”
Warner Veling, the owner of Sport Aviation, LLC and regional Florida dealer of the Sport Cruiser couldn’t be more enthused with the new relationship with Larsen Motorsports: “Larsen and I met recently at the 2014 Sebring Expo and have kept very close contact since. We feel that growing Sport Aviation and Larsen Motorsports in a joint venture will bring new aviation enthusiast into the industry without hurting their pockets.” Warner said. “We are looking to bring a SportCruiser to the Daytona area by the end of the year. Our plan is to provide students and local pilots the top of the line LSA at the most affordable price.”
Chris Larsen adds: “This is a big deal! It changes the game for people that never thought they could afford to fly. The aircraft is well equipped and can even be operated regionally for business travel in the right geographic areas. It is rugged and well built. Perfect for training applications too. It is built in a real factory with excellent product support. Lastly, when I saw the price I was hooked, I was going to have one.
